Re: PR Dev Journal.
I really hope that there are more hummers, and that the deployable 50 .cals are put to good use (after all, 8 of them can be on the field at once). That's a lot of supporting firepower right there.

Fallujah West
Been a while since we had an update but here we go:

The map will be USMC vs Insurgency with possibly the USMC having support of some M2 Bradleys.
Sadly I am loving & leaving you this week for some time while I go on adventures with the Marines irl. But I trust my fellow devs to do the necessary jobs to get this ready for the next release of PR.
Here is the most recent minimap with a comparison of the google earth image I used for reference. There will probably be a couple changes but this is pretty much it:
and by now you should be familiar with the new buildings on Korengal, Using these building blocks has made many many enterable and varied buildings around the map, some examples below:
All the map got no object lightmaps yet so may look a bit flat.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
While I think the map looks awesome, I have two concerns:
1) We already have Ramiel
2) It's another insurgency map (see #1)
Maybe this could be the next (and much better) EJOD if it was US Army v. MEC?
At any rate, anxious to see it.

<unsure>I'm not sure if it'll be "find the caches" Insurgency, the one we're used to.
It's looking like a very quality map even in it's early stages, I'll tell ya that And what Skud said, lotsa detail going into this one from the real world images.

Re: PR Dev Journal.
I agree that currently West Fallujah is too much like Ramiel. I wish they'd make it an AAS map with insurgents as a faction. West Fallujah could be a counterattack map with the Insurgents as the defenders.

I have this rediculous vision in my head for Fallujah West:
AAS mode on this map, US Army (Maybe Britain?) v MEC with 1 MBT on each side.
I cringe to think of the traps that could be set in that dense urban enviroment, yet revel in the thought of being the designer of said traps.

We all thought that Korengal Valley and Operation Barracuda would be amazing maps, but right before they load up everytime, or in my squad, I hear people complaining about how this map sucks, etc. I personally, like all of the maps on PR, they all provide a different aspect of the battlefield, which needs different tactics and gameplan. Sometimes I'll voice my opinion, but only if I'm having a really bad round or day.

They are amazing maps, they are just too OVERPLAYED. First week, every server was on either Korengal, Muttrah, or Ramiel. And pretty much everyone has played those maps to death.
