The main reason for this is because the current Afghan statics are not that realistic for the Sangin region, but mainly because of the scale of the map and the limitations we have with destructible buildings set by the engine the current ones we have just cant meet the needs of the map.

So here we have over 100 new statics objects that I have made that will give ranky and other mappers who may wish to use these statics a huge amount of flexibility in these statics to make compounds how ever they like

These also aint all of them, I've still got quite a few more bits to make, but this will give you a good idea of whats coming

Some of the props you may recognize, this is because some of them are remakes of matt.b's prop statics which where part of the main statics, but these are separate objects that the mapper can put where ever he likes, how he likes

Hope you like them, cheers!

However I felt it only right to post them in here after all the sheer hard work he has put in so far with help from myself and our Lead Modeler [R-DEV]Stigger

Anyway here you are:

You must agree, so far its looking very good.

Re: PR Dev Journal.

A Chinook in Pr is awesome, and you could probably drop a humvee out of them the same way you can drop supply drops out of helicopters, now that, would be awesome.

Re: PR Dev Journal.

There was a big discussion about dropping vehicles from other vehicles on the PR forums. I don't think it's possible.

Too bad the BF2 engine is so limited. I can recall half a dozen good ideas people had the the DEVs said they wanted to do, but the engine just wouldn't allow it

Re: PR Dev Journal.

Hopefully they can work out the Lag issue with the Chinook, or it will be a waste, i.e. Qinling Lag with the merlin.

Maybe it will also lead to attack choppers/attack LBs to actually provide escort, rather than go on there own.
