In the past when we ran an unranked vanilla server, we often times would have a few players go on a public server adventure. The goal was to create a squad of about four TGers and then invite two new faces. When the round was over if they demonstrated teamwork they were invited to our forums.

"Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine, regardless of the level of advantage, if any, it gives over the opposing team." -- Tactical Gamer Primer

Re: Thanks to all!

Next month I will have my own little place and probably more time to play, I 'm considering to become a SM because this server is definitely worth it.

With 0.7 out, it would be nice to see a second server because 99% of the time I wanna get in, it 's at 63/64 players...

Re: Thanks to all!

PR is growing and expanding because of the players and dedicated Admins that keep it all real and online. I think we should thank each other for trying to stick to the rules of TG and do the right thing on the server when playing - stick together. The basis of PR/TG is to do things realistically and with the squad as the most important element of play. If we stick to that, TG/PR will only be a growing and great community of players.

Re: Thanks to all!

Is there anyway to get stats on the size of the player base?

I'm wondering if there is really more PR players now or if the teamwork requirement has gotten high enough with 0.7 that TG's server is more attractive than ever. After all, the game play has been better here for quite some time and maybe more are just now realizing it.

Re: Thanks to all!

Bernout - the population size of PR is about the same as it has been in the past....

I think however that after v0.7 release, alot of players who were not really too interested in teamwork simply left the mod, especially after changes like removing the minimap (no more easy spotting/kills) and 30 second delay on tanks (no more soloing in armor for easy kills).

Also the fact that using teamwork and real world military tactics is much more useful in this version, thats why I think the general quality of play has gone up quite a bit and shows in the consistently full server.

This is great news guys, I hope everyone continues to raise the bar!

Re: Thanks to all!

I reckon numbers have risen roughly, going by this graph (green is players and red is server capacity I think)
