Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

As far as squad leaders go, TG is full of em. I'm not going to rattle off names because theres simply too many to list. What I will say follows the words of the people who have posted before me in that I have the utmost respect for anyone who steps up and takes the job seriously. Theres a big difference between someone who squad leads so they can get kits or vehicles and someone who steps up to help the team. It doesnt matter if you've been playing for an hour or a decade, if you take the helm and roll with the team, you're a-ok in my book.

I really feel that everyone here should take the initiative to SL or CO from time to time. I frequently see people complaining about their CO or SL when I never see them do it themselves. Could it be that you just dont realize how demanding those jobs are? Perhaps finding out is the best course of action. I encourage every singe person to give it a shot. You may not think you'd be the best CO/SL in the world, but nobody ever is in the beginning. It takes experience and time, not to mention a set of brass cojones to put yourself in the position of blame when stuff goes wrong.

Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

I have not been playing long but two squad leaders than i have really found a great example and helpful to me as a beginner were:

M.Warren. I joined him and we drove a APC and he taught me through everything i needed to know about armour, which was great and he wasn't even angry when i accidently reloaded my gun that was near full and we had to drive back to base to get more ammo lol.

Crawlingeye. Was the first SL I served under after learning the controls (i see it as my first game) i was medic which i now love playing and i got lots of encouragment when i was doing well and when i messed up i was just given some handy advice, so it was a very enjoyable experience for me. Plus the squad all round was very fun working with i believe we were defending a big chinese citidel.

He's an effective squad leader, but I always felt like I was being baby sat.

Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

I'm not going to name any of my fellow Devils, since of course we all excel at every kit and position, but d1sp0sabl3H3r0 is an excellent squadleader who knows how to get stuff done!

Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

JohnCAN and Emale got me into this game...miss that bunch. So many of you dont even understand that when you get us into your squad how much more we enjoy the game. Very nice when you all spread out a bit. Much appreciated.

In no order:
AFSoccer (been a fan of his from his beginning)
Warehouse (been a long time, very long)-if you can get in
BostonBob
Disposeable (only 2 times)- when you can get in
Skud-when you can get in
Gumball
Teflon
Dirtboy-when you can get in

and some new favs for me...TopCat and Crawlingeye...

And many more of you...and to all of you Thank you. I have little time to play as much as I would like, and I give orders all day long... so it is very nice to sit back and get a great leader to follow.

Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

Dang! I dont remember any good squadleaders because there's too many of em in TG's.
Exploding-Silver is only one I can name now. He knows the maps like back of his hands and his voice is so personal, heck, his videos in youtube even made me aware that there's the TG-community I've searched for so long.

And then there's the guy I met few months in the middle of the night back whose nick I dont remember. The whole squad laughed at his jokes that he purely improvised. Then my computer crashed. Usually this means that I'd go to bed but no, this time I launched PR once again and joined to his squad to have another hour full of laughter and fun. And he was a kick-ass squadleader too.

Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

I like any squad leader that has patience with a firm grip of the situation at hand. I do not recall the SL's name, but we laid prone for a good 5-10 minutes waiting for armor and infantry to move out of a flag. We then "booty-trapped" the entrances and set up defence while we took the flag back. It was one of those feel good situations that you talk to your wife, mistress, family, kids about at the dinner table...

Hey thanks man!

I'd like to give a shout out to my boy JayJay, my baby's momma LeFonda, God, of course, and all my other homies.

Your post reminded me of TopCat - I've only played with him a couple times, but it's always a learning experience.

Re: Your favorite squad leaders.

Wow... thanks to everyone that mentioned me. This game can be such a blast when you get a good squad together, so I'm glad to hear that I'm contributing to that.

Also if someone wants to take a stab at commanding, I'm always willing to help with that too. I can form a small "CO Support" squad and be there to give guidance, answer questions, etc. until you feel comfortable.
