Yeap this map enables the use of great tactics, and rewards players who use them.

Tard rushing on this map will get you whining really quick **I have to walk ALL THAT WAY wwahhh wahhh wahhh**

Lots of variety in fighting too.

Great map! Just make sure to get your hitchhiking thumb ready if your squad doesn't have an RP up!

Re: Fool's Road

I had fun on it again last night. Tough fight, and things didn't look too good for the Brits at the start of the round.

This would make an excellent scrim map. It plays very long, and as Fuzzhead mentioned, definitely rewards teams that have their act together and use tactics.

Bypassing the ambush is just what the ambushers expected us to do.

Precisely. Being able to maneuver with the cover of trees, or outside and around the visual range of the flags, is fantastic. I havn't even been in the NW quadrant of the map yet and i've played it 3 times. Last night was my first time at the hilltop and helicopter base and they're a good time. It's really a total-immersion map.

Re: Fool's Road

Haven't had a good game on it yet and my FPS goes way below 20.

I prefer CO'ing on it...

What in-game app do you use to measure frame rate with PRM?

Re: Fool's Road

The console commands:

renderer.drawFps [0,1] - Displays the current frames per second (FPS) and the time in milliseconds between frames.

Hit your "tilde" key (~) to bring up console, then type, without quotes, "renderer.drawfps 1"

Here's a page with a big list, as well as better directions on how to implement them
