Weekly Ribbon Presentation

Please congratulate your fellow gamers on their accomplishments.

Award: Distinguished Air Calvary
Winners:
P.Krauss
CptDaveJones

Nomination:
Quote:
Recommended Award: Air Cavalry Specialist

Game/Server: PR

Place and Time: 1/5/08 ~11:00AM CST

Nomination:

I would like to nominate P.Krauss and CptDaveJones for the Distinguished Air Cavalry Specialist award.

I was commanding the Chinese forces on Qinling for the entire round. We had managed to take Village with little resistance and were in a constant battle for possession of Coal Mine. During the first 30 minutes of the round, we managed to get our attack chopper in the air and promptly shot down. At this point, we also had no jet pilots, and our armor was taking a beating at Coal Mine by the British forces. Things looked really bad, and I had considered withdrawing forces to FOB to begin establishes defenses there.

This is when the two nominated players joined and promptly got the attack chopper into action. P.Krauss was the squad leader, and his communication with me was excellent. He patiently orbited areas that I asked him to until targets could be designated and safety of his chopper could be established. He then proceeded to swiftly and efficiently eliminate all designated targets. He and his co-pilot's actions single-handedly saved the Village flag from armored assault against the two squads defending that flag with no armor support. He shot down the enemy Apache at least 4 times and he must have easily destroyed well over a dozen armored vehicles, including an enemy mobile AA (no small feat in .7). He also provided support for my one loan squad holding onto Coal Mine, and proved his expertise by eliminating an enemy tank next to a squad leader without harming the squad leader.

The actions of P.Krauss and CptDaveJones in their expert use of a valuable team asset, their willingness to follow every order, and their swift and deadly strikes ensured victory for our team in this round. It is with a great deal of pleasure that I nominate these two outstanding pilots for this ribbon, they have earned this recognition.
