landing helicopters

When landing the USMC transports is it almost better to keep it above the ground a bit, since you can jump out and not get that badly hurt, just because i sometimes have the tendency to do a "hard landing." and it looks like this.

Wow, I've never seen ducks at play before. I'm kinda jealous.

Do birds really make sound effects when playing?

Re: landing helicopters

I have always been jealous of ducks, good on water, can fly, waddle across land, and slide across ice with grace, lol. Can't forget: can crap anywhere and fly south for the winter if they chose to do so.

Although it sounds like they can do anything the downside is they just fertilize eggs so no sex.

Re: landing helicopters

We must be descendants from ducks judging by this evidence.

Re: landing helicopters

I think the chopper controls are a bit too sensitive now, if you tap S you instantly rash and earn yourself a 90sec spawn.
I blame the lag.

Re: landing helicopters

I dislike the helicopters now in .7 i have crashed so many times cause i have fallen out of the sky. No more very intense precision flying for me. Just very intense crash landings. All i can fly now is those darned black hawks.

Re: landing helicopters

I have that problem too, as illustrated the other night at the Pig Farm. I hit the ground too hard while landing and bounce and skid off the LZ.

Re: landing helicopters

The choppers are easy to land, you just have to tap the button

Re: landing helicopters

Yeah, I actually really love the choppers controls, I max out my mouse sensitivty already, and sometimes its still not enough for me. If keyboards were to support some sort of analog sensitivity, I would be all over it. But in the mean time, I can do with just lightly tapping the keys.

The one thing that I do not like, is when the skids seemingly get "stuck" to the ground when Im landing (and ususally only on one side ), which usually results in rolling the chopper over.
