Re: The Battle for Quiling - Map Poll

Fools Road 16 on the other hand was fun, the brits are allowed to deploy a command post, and setup a bunker and or firebase at either there main or possibly in the woods.

the fight for hilltop estate is also great, and there is enough trees to keep you alive and ready to charge into battle. Lots of great ambush sites etc..could turn into a fierce INF fight with 50+ players.

Re: The Battle for Quiling - Map Poll

I bow to the experience of the maps then. I was hoping Quiling 16 would have been better but apparently it wasn't. If Fool's Road 16 was awesome then I'm all for that being put into the rotation. When Quiling 32 comes up on the rotation I'll just leave and come back after the map is done. disposable is correct in saying that if we all had a say we wouldn't have any maps on the rotation. So I concede.

My only request then is to break up a long string of longer time maps with a couple of these smaller maps. Two or Three on the rotation would be more than enough.

Good discussion. Thank you.

I like Quiling. I actually had one of my best rounds with |TG| Charity_Case and his squad, we held the village the whole game

Re: The Battle for Quiling - Map Poll

most of my best moments in v0.7 have been on Qinling (64p, 32p sucks as the PLA APC owns the brit one in direct combat). Really the only way to enjoy it is to be working as a team, dont and your screwed, both on public and organized games. Really if you want a good game on this map, get in a tank with a good driver and gunner and I can grantee you will have a good game, unless there is a enemy tank on the other team who keeps on pwning you

Alot of players seem to say infantry sucks on this map but I tend to disagree, yes you may be fighting tanks and aircraft 1/2 the time but you can still easily have a large effect on the battle if you play in the right way, epically with recon that both teams in the TG vs PR clans scrim proved had a huge impact on the overall battle outcome, as there are soo many places to recon teams to hide on the map you have a very low chance of being spotted, unless you jump up and down and start shooting at a tank with your rifle, then from your spots you can coordinate tanks, aircraft and Mech Infantry squads to take out the target, if you know where a enemy tank is for example, what direction its heading etc you can swing up behind its path and open up on it. Me and Squid did this many times in the TG vs PR scrim where ABA where spotting out your tanks, we just came around the hill and got 2 shots into the enemy tank before they could work out where the hell we where.

so ye, really play it as a team with working with full combined arms, or not at all really.

Re: The Battle for Quiling - Map Poll

lol personnaly well everytime there is a 16 players map i usually leave the server, with 64 players on small map it's just a zerg fest , if i want to play those kind of game i would look into cod4. But that's my opinion, but i think 16 players map just have no strategy with a full server.

I concur... I love Qinling .

I often join the Texas Teamplayers server because they run the map a lot (think it 's first in their rotation). Game experience is not as great as on TG but I usually enjoy myself. TG is always full when I try to get in and I hate the refreshing system of the crappy ingame browser (Steam FTW!). I will probably become a SM soon because I have more time to play since I moved.

Had one game on TG this friday (it felt good to play in Dirtboy 's squad again after a month away from PR, thx for that), but after 2h+ on Kashan Desert... I just didn't feel like another 2 hour round. I think I played Fools Road and Qinling only once on the TG server ever since 0.7 was released. Rounds last too long imo and therefor new maps barely get played...
