Post Weekly Award Winners!!!

Here's this week's award winners:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Distinguished Squad Leader - |TG-6th|FerrisBueller, BLK OPS portable.cougar

Quote:
Recommended Award: Distinguished Squad Leader: |TG-6th|FerrisBueller, BLK OPS portable.cougar

Game/Server: BF2 PR

Place and Time: Battle for Qinling, February 2, 2008

Nomination:

I would like to nominate the above squad leaders from the scrim vs. the PR Coalition of Clans. They each accomplished incredible feats using their primary kits, but as CO I would like to recognize their impact to the team as squad leaders. Their leadership started weeks before the scrim when they studied the battle plan, added input, briefed their squad mates, and set up practices for their squad.

In-game, these individuals performed to a tee. They implemented the STRAT Plan, relayed information, coordinated close air support, used our assets to destroy enemy assets, attacked flags and defended flags. In addition, their ability to quickly communicate to their squad mates, other squad leaders, and the CO ensured that the entire team had one heartbeat.

The leadership that these individuals displayed was second-to-none and I am honored to nominate each of them for the Distinguished Squad Leader ribbon.

Distinguished Commander - |TG-6th| AFSoccer (Class 3)

Quote:
Who?
AFSoccer

What?
Distinguished Commander
Distinguished Tactician

Where?
TG vs Coalition of PR Clans

When?
February 2, 2008

How?
I am nominating AFSoccer for both the Distinguished Tactician and the Distinguished Commander badges.

Distinguished Tactician: Once again, AFSoccer has shown that he is probably one of the most skilled tacticians that we have in the TG community. He developed a flawless battle plan for our team in the scrimmage against the coalition of PR clans. He provided the squad leaders with an 11 page document outlining our overall strategy, squad assignments, vehicle assignments and individual squad strategies. His thoroughness in this plan was incredible and more importantly, the completeness of this plan left very little question as to what each squad was to accomplish and when. It is because of this complete plan and his diligence that we were able to dominate the battlefield and the outcome of this match was never in doubt.
Due to his hard work, thorough attention to detail and supreme knowledge of the battlefield, AFSoccer has definitely earned this recognition. It is with great pleasure that I nominate AFSoccer for Distinguished Tactician for his performance prior to this scrimmage and the success we enjoyed as a team when his plan was implemented.

Distinguished Commander: AFSoccer was our CO during the scrimmage on QinLing. This map is perhaps the most draining map in PR and will leave any commander physically and mentally drained when the map is done due to the amount of coms and coordination required.
AFSoccer did an amazing job as our commander during this scrimmage. He kept the lines of communication open between all ground and air elements, always responding immediately when needed and providing the critical element of coordination between ground and air to assist his forces and eliminate enemy threats. He provided constant situational awareness to his forces, moved forces where they were needed the most, and managed a very complex battlefield with EASE. AFSoccer has earned this distinction through his complete command of a fluid battlefield, supreme management and coordination of his forces and assets and ability to use intel provided by his forces to attack the enemy positions and inhibit their progress.

Jet Combat Specialist - TheGreatNardini

Quote:
Who?
TheGreatNardini

What?
Distinguished Jet Combat

Where?
TG vs Coalition of PR Clans

When?
February 2, 2008

How?
During the scrimmage, Nardini was assigned as our only pilot for the TG team. His task was to establish air superiority over the Chinese team and then support the ground forces. This was to be accomplished over 2 enemy jets and with enemy mobile AA. No small feat.
When the round started, Nardini immediately went in to action and was able to establish superiority over the enemy jets, shooting them down several times. He was also responsible for shooting down the Chinese helicopter several times, saving my squad several times and definitely saving our armor many times.
Additionally, he was in constant communication with the squad leaders on the ground, coordinating air strikes on enemy armor. He decimated the enemy armor time and time again and thoroughly demoralized the opposition, allowing our armor to move freely on the battlefield. Of all of the units for our team, Nardini was probably the most responsible for our success. He was only shot down once, and that was by the enemy attack chopper.
Nardini owned the skies during this scrimmage and struck fear into the hear of the opposition. He has truly earned this recognition and I am proud to nominate him for the award. His teamwork and skill are truly representative of what TG is supposed to be about.

Who: TheGreatNardini
What: Jet Combat Specialist
Where: Tactical Gamer vs. Coalition of PR clans
When: February 2, 2008

How:

Nardini has showed great skill and fortitude today while flying the Eurofighter during the scrim today. Before the scrim, he was constantly practicing bombing runs and evasive maneuvers on the private server. This was evident during the scrim. Almost all the bombs he dropped, were on target. All his staffing runs were on spot with deadly accuracy. While not being over aggressive, he took down several Mobile AA's and bugged out when it was warranted. His Air to Air abilities were uncanny. At one point he had 2 J-10's following him and with his stellar flight skills, he quickly downed both of them with ease. Having the Air Superiority helped the team out enormously. Tanks were now free to concentrate elsewhere.

The distinctive accomplishments TheGreatNardini brings great credit upon himself, Tactical Gamer and the PR community!

Distinguished Engineer - |TG-6th| Blonov

Quote:
Who: Dick Blonov
What: Distinguished Engineer Ribbon
Where: Tactical Gamer vs. Coalition of PR clans
When: February 2, 2008

How:

Where to start...Blonov is a poster child for the Engineer Role. Our responsibility for the scrim was to destroy the enemy bunker and lay mines on the entrance and exits. Within the first 5 minutes of the match, he destroyed the bunker and laid all his mines down. He then stayed there and destroyed enemy vehicles, engineers trying to repair the bunker and to always updating me on his situation. Even when he got killed, he was still persistent on holding his ground there and laying those mines. With him constantly denying the enemy to rebuild and get vehicles, the rest of the team could concentrate elsewhere!

The distinctive accomplishments of Blonov bring great credit upon himself, Tactical Gamer and the PR community.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Distinguished Engineer - |TG-6th| BC2ID

Quote:
Recommended Award:
Distinguished Engineer

Game/Server:
PR

Place and Time:
TG vs PR Coalition scrim, 2pm EDT 2-Feb-08

Nomination:
Everywhere. That's where I assigned Bc2ID. And he did it. In the opening minutes of the game he layed a minefield, repaired armor damage, built a firebase, and provided infantry support in E5. He kept his comms to absolute essentials, was never out of position, and completed every task I assigned him.

Once we took the fight into the hills above Village he was constantly between repairing our tank and helping hunt enemy armor...while engaging the infantry that we found (or found us). I think a key moment was prior to the capture of Village we were west up high in the hills hunting a mobile AA that was causing issues...we found it, maneuvered around it, but then I was spotted and taken out. Bc2ID (along with Carpface) still managed to get in and destroy the armor despite being tipped off to our presence. This opened up the skys for some needed air support.

During the game Bc2ID had connection problems and we lost him...he had to reboot his computer (he text messaged my cell phone to let me know he'd be back! I mean, how dedicated is that). Shortly he returned, and went right back to work. I was very glad he returned! Furthermore, as you may/may not know Bc2ID currently has an injury and has had severely limited game time lately and seemed unsure if he would make the scrim. He did, and stuck it out.

Congrats all, and well deserved! And don't worry if you don't see some of your nominations from the scrim in here, we are still voting on the rest of them.
