Re: joinig a squad?

Do you mean in-game or do you mean one of the in-house squads?

If in-game, then you should just join them. TG mission is to help new player(either new to PR or new to the "TG way") They do fill up quick. But you can always text the TG squad SL, state you are new, and most will make room for you, at least on the next map.

If you mean the in-house squads, then thats based more on forming a relationship with the members of the squad by playing with them over time. The possible exception might be the Irregulars.(Are you guys an "open squad"??)

Re: joinig a squad?

Browna3

I believe you are referring to our IHSs (in-house squad) such as the 6th Devils Brigade and the 10th Tactical Guard. TacticalGamer also has the Irregulars, which is an IHS for non-supporting members, although there are SMs in the Irregulars.

For a IHS such as the 6th or the 10th, you would either apply to the squad or be recruited by that squad to join. If you'd like to read up on some of those squads, visit the TG wiki and click on the link for the In-house squad system.

For the Irregulars, you simply need to sign up to join and you're in. Currently, the Irregulars have suspended accepting new members until they complete a reorganization of the unit.

Hope this helps you a little bit.

Re: joinig a squad?

Hi Browna!

My name is ThePenguineer (often called Pengie around here) and I am the Communications officer of the Irregulars. The Irregulars tries to emulate the cohesiveness and closeness of an In House Squad (of IHS) for those who may not be able to fulfill all the commitments of a full IHS or who want to start out somewhere within TG where they can take time to find their niche.

Unfortunately, we are currently in the process of a re-organization and we have temporarily suspended enlistments. However, please do PM |30+|SirShotAlot, our Recruitment Officer, expressing your interest, what games you play (including specific mods within BF2), and what kind of game schedule you keep (hours per week, time of day, etc.). SirShotAlot will be able to let you know more about where you may fit in within TG and possibly the Irregs.

Welcome to TG!

- Pengie

Oh crap - sorry Crawling! You're right - I did...my bad.

However, I'm assuming brown isn't eligible for the E-1st because he doesn't live in Europe...yeah - that's it! He doesn't live in Europe so that's why I left off E-1st. Exactly. See? Make sense.

Re: joinig a squad?

Not to mention that his pic is obviously a British group of soldiers. You can tell by their weird bug eye looking gas masks.

On a side note, Browna3, you need to shrink down the pic in your sig. Forum rules dictate a sig image no larger than 468x100 pixels.
