Hey guys... after a few months of ArmA (or attempted ArmA since that game is still basically a beta a year after release) I think I'll be coming back to the fun of PR.

I hopped on server last night and was happy to see that its still well populated. The 0.7 version of PR threw me for a loop, back when I was playing we didnt have shovels.

The thing that really ended ArmA for me is that I now have 2x 22" wide screen lcd's and playing at native resolution was just not possible with ArmA despite having an x1950.

That said, how can I set up native res for BF2 -- there doesnt seem to be the appropriate wide screen option. I don't want to force 1680x1050 if I lose the proper field of view... does anyone know how to do this correctly without getting flagged by PB for a potential view cheat?

ps -- once i relearn how to fly Air Cav will be back!

Welcome back, helis havent changed that much except dont press back or S for more then a second. And they fixed AA lock on pretty much

Thats alot of screenspace, Ive used 1600x1200 with that card but right now I use 1280x960 just for fps consistency.


There is a util that will do custom res, someone will tell you what exactly in a bit I expect

Try as i might, I cant get that wide screen fix to work ... it just goes right back to desk top a second after launch. Any advice?

Change your shortcut to your rez to the 1680 x 1050 . It only worked on my 22" when I did that.I tried to uses the 1440 x 1000 something and NOGO.
But I had to use v1.40 of widescrenfixer.
Set the aspect for 16x10 I think.

Yea good playing with you I was the one sitting over the enemy base with binocs calling out what was leaving the base on Qwai and we were 'sqd 8' for kashan... It hurt to lose you at the last moment, we wanted a final jdam on the enemy base for a victory

and i was never banned!!! who spread that rumor?! I just went to play ArmA for a while --- a fate worse than banning... stupid bugware!

also also , can someone copy paste exactly what my short could should look like -- right now it looks like this and the game just doesn't launch ---- i am running 2x 22"s... do i need to disable one?

Yeah, it sucked when my comp shut down so close to the end. I was a little more than upset when my screen turned black, then proceeded to reboot....
