The LGBs (bombs) have a much larger damage radius than the missiles, however, I am never close enough to the ground in my A-10 to see how large the radius is, so I have to estimate about half of a square coordinate grid on the in-game maps. There is no difference between CO laser targets and SL laser targets. They both function the same way and are deployed the same way.

Re: Questions about the CAS system.
Scout heli co-pilot can lazer designate by pressing 2
The altitude given in aircraft is above sea level, if your target is not at sea level make sure you account for the additional height needed to maintain 500m distance

Re: Questions about the CAS system.
maybe this has been answered, I am just not seeing it. But, when dropping GPS bombs, how do you know when to release? When you see a green box like the lazer guided missles? Or when you are 500m higher than the target and X meters away?
any help is always greatly appreciated. |

Re: Questions about the CAS system.
Oh I never even do that, I trust the guy lasing, ask him when enroute to the target, check his pos then drop whenever im about 500 or 600m high up. So far its never missed its target, And since the laser can attack onto some things if the target is moving will the bombs be less likely to entirely eliminate the target than the missiles? (Just assuming missiles to be generally more accurate and versatile than bombs).
