Has anyone her seen/tride this rifle?

I know this is a little of topic but there are allot of gun nut.....ehhh military types here. So does this rifle stand up to the hype?

Looks like a lot like a SCAR made by FN Herstal. Very similar to an M16/M4 variant but with a few significant receiver changes. I wouldn't consider it revolutionary, but it is interesting. I wouldn't look for the US Military to consider a replacement for the M16/M4 series unless something really beneficial comes along. The only thing that came close was the H&K G11 but it's out of the running now.

this weapons made me think about the XM8 ? The design and concept is like between an actual M16 and an XM8...

The XM8 is a ridiculous looking POS that I would be embarassed to carry anywhere. The SCAR and Masada/ACR are a bit more conventional and probably a lot easier for soldiers to learn after years of using the M16/M4 variants.
