That's nice!
Exept when you fall after spawning.

If you can run to it and knife it, I don't care where it is.

I agree that it's not a big deal, but it does make it more difficult to pull a kit!

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

I believe the underwater rally point thing has largely been fixed. Theres only a couple places on ALL of the maps that I can think of where you can place a rally underwater, but those you can reach by laying on a nearby rock or piece of land to knife em.

As far as the OOB and bleeding to death thing, I'd gladly sacrifice my life to take down an enemy rally and limit their spawning options. One less rally=six less troops on the front line.

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

It's not sporting, even if it isn't against the rules. It's called out of bounds for a reason.

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

most of the time when a squad places a rallypoint out of bounds, and it gets discovered, that squad is really screwed cause they will spawn into gunfire but they cant lay prone but have to sprint to avoid getting killed from out of bounds. and since the squad looking for the rally doesnt feel like going out of bounds, there will be a bunch of spawncamping and grenade spam. So I think its kind of a self governing thing... place your rally out of bounds for some extra stealth, but be prepared to pay the price if it becomes discovered...

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

I dont like out of bounds being in the game anyway. Like on kashan we have a massive map but the airfield is on the edge of the map, so with all that space you can still get that stupid message.

I'd prefer it if map design guidelines had it so there was no visible seam or in this case actually becoming part of the game

Not a massive exploit anyway just buggy

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

I agree that out of bounds in the first place is kinda a stupid thing. I would be great (although hard to do) if all maps were designed to not have them.

That happens to me all the time, since I will often lose my bearings when I spawn in and not sure which direction to run right away.

But in a general sense, I don't see much of an issue to it. There definately are enough risks to outweigh the benefits.

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

Have not seen the tree rallies, but both the tree and out-of-bounds rally are nice to take advantage of.

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

Both have disadvantages of potential damage on/after respawn and difficulty to request kits from, so I agree with fuzzhead and others above who essentially said they are self-governing novelties.

Re: Out of Bounds Rallies

Personally I think it is an exploit to place them out of bounds and not in the spirit of TG. Its the same as using pilots as paratroopers. Sure the game allows you to do it but it is an exploitation of the game mechanics. *shrugs* Just my opinion and I know everyone is not going to agree with it.
