Re: This needs to stop!

DarkSteel,

I am disappointed in what you posted, I have several times been in the same squad as you, and never heard you once utter that you had some sort of jealous anger against members of TG who choose to wear the TG tag.

Though I hope you realize that by playing on the server as a SM, or as a non-SM you are required to adhere to the rules set forth by the Admins of the community even if you don't agree with them.......

Spitfire, i really don't understand why you are tromping on the 10th, you are in an IHS of your own, and I recently encountered a similar sense of jealousy from another member of the IRR, who was my SL in an armor unit on Koz, but after we didn't have that much success made a point that he was going to leave our squad to join up with D1spo's squad who had an opening and subsequently would be leaving the us in the dust......I didn't quite understand his reasoning, and I really don't quite understand yours......

Anyways it's really way too early in 2009 and in the wake of the release of .85 to hear complaints, it's really time for those who want to complain to talk to themselves rather than choosing to type in global chat, or on the forums.

The funny thing is, that those I see complaining don't have the balls to say it in TS when others are around, they keep it to themselves but yet have no problem typing it in global chat or posting here.

Once again. I think you have me wrong here. Im not "tromping" on anyone here. Cant I throw my .2 cents in? Jesus. I dont want this turn into some lame in-server animosity.

Re: This needs to stop!

TG player are REGGULARS that mean they play more on the server than anybody else, in fact they play so much they have decide to put a tag in front of there name indicating that fact. So of course your more likely to see TG tagged player using an asset, be cause hes alway playing on the server.

Off course there are always players that are more greedy than other adding a TG in front of your name does not change your basic nature. But talking to player does seem to work better than forum flame. And here use a small tip for you "can I use that copper next spawn please?" work much better than "Why are you always hogging the chopper!"
not just for you but for the moral of the whole team.

If you have a problem with this there is really only one solution for you and that is to become part of the collective and add a TG in front of your name. But if you do that you are stating that you have read the rules and are gonna follow them (witch you do anyway off course).

When I'm squad leading and I see two choppers on a TG player and the other not guess witch chopper I'm gonna put my troops in? guess witch chopper I will trust to bring me to the location I want to go and not get kill on the way?

When Dirtboy posted this topic we where really seeing a bad trend a year ago we where havening problems with the issue he was pointing out but I really don't think this applies anymore.

Re: This needs to stop!

nothing wrong with throwing your .2 cents in, just keep in mind when you name names it speaks louder.....I was not trying to harp at you specifically, just remember that many people read these threads and its one thing to use constructive criticism and another to basically tromp all over an IHS or members of an IHS.

That is one of the reasons I read over my stuff before i post, and even after posting I might find that should have said something differently, and then end up editing my post.

Fixed.
You broke it actually. He really is a supporting member.

That is the reason why 50% of my posts are never posted. And 90% of those were supposed to be posted in Teamstacking threads

My .2 cents: I love 0.85!

Re: This needs to stop!

My reply is not showing up so I apologize if it appears later.

I wrongly assumed that I was a "supporting member" when I paid my subscription for a slot on the server. I received a message along the lines of "you can wear TG tags if you want.. blah blah.." I don't frequent the forums and notice the "supporting member" bar below names. I apologize for this.

I knew I'd possibly get a negative reaction but didn't think I would be mis-quoted by a supporting member officer and called a liar. It was a MISTAKE! Interesting and disappointing, but it only proves the point of the original poster.

I'm guessing the infraction for lying will stick.

Re: This needs to stop!

i'm not going to start a new thread cuz the admins hate that. I'm going to say my peice about something that happened just now on mestia.

I was commander for the first time in a long while, we may have lost the round but i was still disapointed by some people attitudes. Just before the end of the round i asked one of the squads to return the apc back to main. I was ignored and then got a load of "so what, rounds nearly over" and other varients. I reported the players but was told by several people to drop it. a CO's order is an order regardless of how many tickets are left. If you are asked to do something by the co, unless there is a valid reason why you cant, you strive to do his request the best you can.

i think this rule sums it up nicely

Quote:
11. Orders

All players are required to follow orders. Squad Leaders are required to follow reasonable orders from their Commander, and all players must follow Squad Leader orders.
in the last 10 tickets the server rules still apply, it doesnt become a free for all where you can do whatever you want.

Re: This needs to stop!

This thread is getting locked.

I like how people hijacked what, at the time, was suppose to be a reminder of what TG is about; and turned into another whine post!
