If i ever happen to mention that I am 14, most people are quiet confused. It just goes to show, age doesn't always matter.

Re: A Mature Gamer's Age

I'm nearing 24 and just beginning to "grow up."

Thank being trapped in corporate America for the last 3 years for the death of my childhood, and careless attitude.

Re: A Mature Gamer's Age

I'm 15 but I'll be turning 16 in 3 months. I'm also quite mature for my age...mostly. I do rarely get into stupid arguments that make me do stupid things but most of the time I'm a mature guy.

You may be, but everyone your age says that...

Re: A Mature Gamer's Age

I'm an 80s sitcom cliché. Thirtysomething, married with a baby, sometimes I feel like I'm about six years old (and act that way) and other times I feel like I'm about sixty and need a cane. I wouldn't call myself mature, but I can act that role.

Re: A Mature Gamer's Age

I'm 15 too. And I know I'm not mature. Hey I'm still a kid why act like I'm 50. I'll wait until I get that old.

Even though I'm not mature I won't be stupid in-game. I follow orders, implement tactics and strategies and can control my emotions (sometimes).

Yeah, seriously.

All of you kids saying you're mature - wait until you're 25, then you'll realize how big of an immature douche you were from 15-21.

Then, when you're 35 you'll realize how immature you were from 25-30.

It's a circle, but the first step is realizing that there is far more to maturity than not getting into "retarded" arguments, or calling people "fgts."

The ability to remain level headed in various scenarios, and remain as rational as possible takes a long time to develop.

Re: A Mature Gamer's Age

Like I said when the thread was relativly new...I'm 17. I have a full time job. Pay for my car, pay my phone bill, have money set back for college, know what I'm going to do in college...and then in life. Mature for my age? As a junior in high school, I would say so. Mature in comparison to people who have had fifty or more years experience in this world? Not even close.

I'm pretty sure I'm a mature gamer, as this is what the title of the thread is refering to....but I will let you form your own opinions based on how you have seen me handle in-game situations. And I urge you to do the same with other people...not just judge them on their age group. Profiling is a bad thing.

To those who don't think it's possible for a teenager to be mature...I disagree.

Re: A Mature Gamer's Age

Sigh. I need to stop reading people's ages. I'd rather not know.
