Re: PR Ranking System???

You know it's too bad there isn't an intelligent tutorial that you could run through for PR. Such as a in game single player tutorial in which you must pass certain tests in order to be deemed competent enough to use certain things.

For example a series of flight tests, ground attack and air attack tests for an A-10. You would go through this tutorial and it would initially walk you through all the basics of flying. Then attack runs, maneuvering and other things like that. Once all finished and you pass minimum requirements then you get your "wings". Seen by everyone that you have completed basic air training. Until you do you can't even get into a jet on the game.

Would that be nice? Imagine something like that for every important asset such as Helicopters, Tanks, APCs or even certain kits such as HAT/AA through Basic Infantry Training. I do believe the bar would be raised quite a bit if this magical tutorial existed.

The closest we could get to this would be artificial ribbon rewards and testing on a server with an admin watching which really isn't much more than testing to be part of a clan. Or BF2 Combat that online war simulation that you pay to play.

Re: PR Ranking System???

kilroy0097 your a freaking genius! I think your idea would be pretty awsome, that is if it could be done. It would solve a smacktard taking a jet and crashing it in seconds. It would mean before coming online most players would have a much greater understanding of PR and I think it would either increase of solve teh asset drama... Just a thought : )

Re: PR Ranking System???

That 's the kind of system America 's Army uses, where you actually had to be in a class and take an exam before you were allowed to play online .

It 's a good idea but I doubt it will ever be done.

Re: PR Ranking System???

Posted this in another thread but it could also be a possible solution here that doesn't require rewriting game code.

1. Link to SOP.
2. Link to PR Guide.
3. Multiple Choice Test with minimum correct answers before getting approved.
4. Set membership list of people who have taken test and passed.
5. Compare list to idiot wearing TG tag in game and see if they match.
6. Take appropriate action.

Multiple choice test unfortunately would have to be a java type program but if possible it would require certain questions to be answered from the facts within the SOP and Guide. It would be open book but just having to research the answers would allow them to learn key points and also mean they agree that they have read the SOP and the PR Guide.

I know it's a lot of hassle but at least then you know which players are really here to be serious, show teamwork and have fun instead of who just walk off the street to be annoying.

If that can't happen then at least do this. Compile a series of youtube videos or something like that with tutorial on how to play PR.
