i think what u see is either the trip flare or (not sure) c4/slam

RL mines now have friend/foe detection.
They can also tell which type of vehicle is driving over them, well to a certain degree. I highly doubt the mines the BF2 ones are based off have this technoligy....perhaps a future mine update?

I only have one big complaint about the Red Skull and cross bones on the map.

It's too damn big and it covers too much area and doesn't scale at all when you zoom in or out.

When you are holding certain items, the options in your comms menu are altered. One of these options allows you to set the marker I think


You can also shout medic, smoke, clear, missile away and other stuff

Well. I see what you mean. but it's big enough for players to see without having to look very far...

And in real life, a minefield is a big area...
