Template for best Game ever

If you were going to make the best game ever...what would it be.

me:

-128 player max
-2 commanders
-up to 9 squads per commander
-Commander to commander Voip
-Squads to Squad Voip (for each commander, if you are under command of different commander, you can't directly communicate with the other squad)
-proximity VOIP (enemy can hear you talk)
-Maps 2x the size of Kashan, with 2 twice the content in them
-New engine, will render textures at infinite distance, making cover usefull
-New engine, where if you fire through a wall, the bullethole stays, if you fire into a wall enough it will break it apart realistically.
-Created by the PR team, except with 10 times the dev team
-requires player to finish training maps for infantry, and if one wants to use armor or CAS, would have to have training on that
-New engine of player movement, if there is a small hill, player will be able to just get over it. Abilty to slide/roll into cover.
-leaning
-More squad leading orders
-More commander orders

that's all i can think of right now.

50 Petabytes of ram, 40 Petabytes of vram, 9000 Petabytes of solid state drive memory, 500 Petahertz processor, a 1000 man PR server, real graphics, real physics, realistic armies that aren't mirror balanced (HATE MIRROR BALANCE), basically everything oldirti said, AIRBOURNE KIT !!!!!, and yeah, thats about it

Re: Template for best Game ever

  • With 128 players, a more realistic number of air assets can be available (i.e a squadron of A-10s or F-16s, all stationed to an airbase)
  • Air squads would be divided up between Fighter/Ground attack elements with the new number of aircraft
  • CAS would wait at a remote airbase until called in by Commander/SL.
  • After being called in, CAS could either empty munitions load and return to base, or loiter/circle over an area awaiting targets for faster response and coverage

Pfft, all I can think of right now. I'm sleepy and I might come up with more later.

Re: Template for best Game ever

everything said so far...and:
mortors
realisticaly destroyable enviroments (buildings, trees...etc)
tank battles similar to RO (where shells can glance off enemy targets depending on angle of vehicle in relation to incoming shell)
bullet penetration (similar to cod4)
make it so you can move faster for longer with a lighter kit, and the ability to lighten you load by eliminating certain elements of your kit.
bring back the ammo bag for the SAW gunner :>

i think they're taking care of that by making their own shrubs like that one insurgency map in the works. A good example would be the fields in Archer.

Ahhh, good ol' Joint Ops. Now that was a good game. Too bad they patched it to death.

Re: Template for best Game ever

Draw distance in BF2 is just horrendice, and in a game like PR, you really need it. They are trying new ways for compensating, but if they could have better draw distances, the maps would be a hell of alot more detailed.

Re: Template for best Game ever

I like the arcade / realism balance of PR, with the emphasis on team play. What I would love to see is PR on the crisis engine with ARMA rendering distance, no engine limitations for the devs and coupons for free video cards
