Although ArmA 2 is set in the fictional ex-soviet state of 'Chernarus' the gameworld is actually a 225 square kilometer chunk of the real world! ArmA 2's highly detailed landscape is a meticulous facsimile of real terrain, modelled using extensive geographical data. This recreated region is brought to life with spectacular environmental effects and populated with dynamic civilian settlements and wildlife. Wild animals roam the atmospheric forests while the people of Chernarus try to live out their lives among the war-torn streets.

In ArmA 2 a staggeringly vast array of military hardware is at your disposal. 73 modern weapons, 167 vehicle variants in the air, on land and at sea. The unique AI think and act independently, changing tactics on the fly. No scripts. No pre defined pathways. ArmA 2's AI share information, communicating with each other to hunt players down. They'll use cover and artillery, adapting to your actions and the changing environment.

Re: PR versus ARMA
I think I'm already experiencing the lag from this game.

Re: PR versus ARMA
Wonder if OFP2 or ARMA2 will be better. I'm probably going to stick with OFP2 as codemasters has already come out with some pretty good quality games.

Re: PR versus ARMA
From what I've heard OFP2 is more "arcadey", while Arma2 is more of a simulator. They're also being developed for consoles, which isn't a good sign...

Re: PR versus ARMA
It looks like I would lag on that, and PR is good enough, PR is great.

Re: PR versus ARMA
Some of you more hardcore players of PR like Katanama and Tman ( Names that come to mind) would love Arma, where practiced tactics such as Infantry manouvres or Tank Coloums give a good effect against the PR cluster rush.
Something I've been meaning to put up. Its a quick guide to Helo tactics, I noticed the Stand off attacks work well on Kashan now ( Cougar witnessed it). http://dslyecxi.com/armattp4.html#aircraftindividual

Re: PR versus ARMA
Damn you and your awesome pictures, my iPhone can barely cope
And that was vanilla ArmA. In ACE the silenced weapons are the ****. Use them. Lots. Just make sure you bring the correct ammo you might get a loud suprise when you first squeeze that trigger. Oh, and the EOTech, best sighting system in any game ever.
