Re: PR versus ARMA
55 players is not a lot, we get regularly get that here at TG, we have the number 1 and 2 ranked servers using the ACE mod in the world, and 7th and 8th overall......

Gametracker reports that neither Server 1 nor Server 2 have gotten over 45 in the past month.

Re: PR versus ARMA
I am talking about both servers here, and obviously our event server on a Sunday, where we usually fill up the missions and have some people spare.

Re: PR versus ARMA
I've never seen a TG ArmA server reach past 50 players and not crash shortly after (unfortunately)

Then you missed your own brothers mission around 6 months ago when we played Obregan Gap twice quite happily with 64 players!

Hey Sabre - glad you liked it. After looking at my gallery from the event, it was actually a 60 player mission. Didn't want to overquote it, and I hadn't checked my screens until now. Whoops. Not as high as some recent sessions, but certainly an enjoyable playercount.
I'd recommend looking at the HD version if you do view it - can be found here:

I remember that - we had a unit of ~10 or so ST players there. Fun mission(s).

Re: PR versus ARMA
I was cleaning out my FRAPS folder (was over 100gigs), and came across this clip. Nothing special, just shows how good ARMA can look.
Make sure to click though to the Youtube site and click on the HD button, or you won't get the point.
Actually, I would download the 1080p version I posted here, looks much better:
http://www.divshare.com/download/7222964-e33
It is only 37mb. It doesn't look as good as the original FRAPS recording, but the full 52sec clip is 1.41 gigs. OUCH.

Re: PR versus ARMA
I'm gonna setup ARMA again tonight and check out all this new ACE business. It's gonna take a while though, since ARMA has so many controls i setup and learn again.
Hopefully they'll make that part a bit simplier in ARMA2.

Re: PR versus ARMA
After watching these videos, and here people talking about it for the past 2 months now. I want to try it. But I think I'll wait for ArmA 2, whenever that is gonna be released.
