Tbh, I hope the next version removes the text chat, so that people start using the right channels: VOIP (SM -> SL -> CO -> SL -> SM) and TS. When I go CO, I hate it when SL 's don't give me any intel, I didn't step up just to give build orders... in stead use me for relaying intel to other squads.

But maybe I 'm getting euphoric again...

It would be awesome to talk to the other SL like the CO does, directly through the BF2 VOIP feature.. It might be impossible to implement tho.

Totally agree. I generally ignore the text unless I know of a squad member with no mic.

I think it is worse to have TG players with no mic than any of the chat issues associated with the in game text.

I actually thought about it and I do actually request transport with text on the odd occasion when I'm out on my own tryin to get back to my squad. So I guess it does have its uses.

And I'm content as long as I can still pop some global chat one liners on Kashan Desert
