Re: Gentlemen's Agreement: HAT Sniping
I, (your name here), agree to use the Heavy AT kit responsibly in game.
I will use it as it is intended on a real battlefield. I will avoid using it on infantry at all costs. It is an anti-tank and anti-vehicle weapon. I will use it responsibly based on any combat situation. I will uphold realistic combat ideas and the TG Primer at all times while in game. I have read and understand the agreement fully. If I break this agreement it is my integrity and honor among other players on the server and the TG Community. My signature of this agreement represents my dedication to realism in the Project Reality server and my continued support of the PR community as a whole. Signed, Sirsolo With that said: The SRAW is also good for building to building combat IRL, and I will not hesitate to use it on a distant Rally point. Single soldier HAT Sniping is out of the question. I never use the kit anyways =P Sniping is for Snipers <3

Re: Gentlemen's Agreement: HAT Sniping
A friendly bump for those who signed the agreement and have been seen spamming Heavy AT.

Re: Gentlemen's Agreement: HAT Sniping
Read, understood and agreed. Do it in my squad and after a warning(if appropriate) you are out.

I 've told many people in my squad not to waste their H-AT rockets on infantry and so far I have not been forced to kick anyone. I 've also joined anti-tank squads with people H-AT sniping and that 's reason enough for me to leave the squad. Now that I think of it, this weekend on Ejod, my 4 man anti-apc squad was being flanked in the west hills by at least one squad. My H-AT wanted to take them out but I told him he wouldn't have a chance against 6 soldiers and I ordered him to fall back to west city while we held them back. We got killed but we didn't lose the H-AT once the entire round. Last edited by Ghost Dog; 06-16-2008 at 06:36 AM. |

Re: Gentlemen's Agreement: HAT Sniping
i have to apologize i recently used H-AT on an Infantry man, and once on a group.
The initial use of H-AT was probably a month or so ago, i was on qwai, near estate in the rice paddy area and got seperated from my squad from a chinese rifleman, so i stayed down and waited until they passed as i was going to link back up, i saw a lone chinese H-AT going near the fishing village flag, trying to sneak up behind our APC that was in the vicinity, i had my H-AT in my hand watching him as he ran across but also go into position to wait for a support truck that i could see leaving the estate area and which was coming in my direction. As I was in the position to fire on the truck, he turned toward me,saw me switched from his H-AT kit to rifle i had to pull the trigger, it was both being that i jumped and it actually scared me and that i couldn't let the chinese team have to H-AT kits to use on our armor in the area, and on the fb that was nearby.....so i blew him to smithereens. The second was a similar instance on I think Jabal i came up on a squad and as i realized that i was in the exact wrong place at the wrong time and also after realizing that my squad was in the same area but i mistook these enemy soldiers for being my squadmates i jumped and hit the fire button, and well blew myself up along with these guys..... So yes mistakes happen, i don't make it my job to use H-AT on Inftantry i'd rather use it on armor, a support truck or even a humvee, ice cream truck, vodnik, especially ones which are full of troops, and though i know skud doesn't like using it on bunkers and FB's I also feel it is ok to use it on that. But I wanted to come clean. But i feel bad for those who do use it and enjoy using it on infantry, they are missing out, because nothing feels better than destroying an apc, or a tank from behind, its breathaking.
