Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

My story is not very interesting I'm afraid.
- I heard about PR
- I downloaded PR 0.5
- I played it
- I liked it
- I saw a consistently full server (TG)
- I played there
- I liked it there
- I came here
- Then I became a supporting member.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I tend to type too damn much so I'm going to make this as short as possible.

FPS Gaming Order

Wolfenstein, Doom, Duke Nukem, Quake, Half Life, CS, BF:V, UT2004

Then after a break on FPS games I went back in hardcore.

BF2, POE2, BF2, FH2, PR 0.7

I think I'll be staying on PR for quite a while. I enjoy the challenge.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I played 1924/ DC mod back when it came out and then did not upgrade my computer when BF2 came out. Instead I played Natural Selection and ended up being a regular on the TG server with Ferris Bueller and one of my best memories was when there were 8 or so Ferris clones on the server. I moved on to POE2 and then to PR and finally became a supporting member last year.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I played BF2 before (and loads of other stuff way back), but gave it up in the end. Found TG through 2142 and came back to the BF2-platform to try PR out. A great journey.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

Played offline games as long as I remember, mostly strategy games like C&C, Simcity etc.

Got into interwebz business in April 2006 when I got Delta Force BHD; played that for most of the year, when I got convinced to get BF2 from an internet friend.

I thought it was the best thing I ever played and completely ignored him telling me to get PR which was at 0.4 at the time.

Not long after that I got fed up with teamkillers and stat whoring and generall idiocity of the game and went back to the download link and got 0.5. Played it on mostly lone wolf servers, 24/7 Basrah was my fav for some time until one night, the only populated server was TG so I went to play there and was amazed at how this mod can be played.

Sticked to the TG server ever since.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

Been playing BF2 for a while now, and I heard this Project Reality was all the rage in its .6 stage. I checked out its official website, saw all the new content, an actual British army, and teamwork.

After hearing medic would be a little more in-depth in PR, I signed up immediately. The shame was PR was so in-depth, it lagged my cheap comp like mad. Then, I got this new laptop. Vanilla was blasted out of the picture via JDAM. :P

The TG server is almost always full, I get a decent ping of 50, and the players are pretty good. Not as many servers in the States are full enough to have a real match. I never liked 10vs10 on PR maps.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I heard about PR from playing BF2, and then i found out about mods that were available for BF2 etc, and in searching i heard about a star wars mod that was available well after going to one of the big mod sites I was crushed to find out that, the star wars mod was only available for 2142, but i did see this really cool mod called project reality and well....i downloaded and it here i am.

However, downloading PR didn't bring me to TG right away, as I was a daily reg on a bf2 server that i was affialiated(sp?) with at the time. And when i got wind and DL pr (i believe the .5 version had just been released) i was playing on the other server quite a bit, but one day something drew me to TG, i clicked on the map, it was al basrah (back when its was the USMC against the insurgents and u could spawn in at an APC) and i saw the coolest thing:

A AH-1 huey cobra was hit by RPG fire and smoking really badly, the pilot landing the chopper and both pilots got out as the chopper started to spout flames, popped smoke and then a transport chopper appeared, picked up the 2 pilots and brought them back to the air field to grab another cobra.

That is was got me hooked, seeing that type of teamwork in that type of setting, i then picked a new name and started to play here when i could, and realized that the pace played at TG is much faster than any other server. And it has been completely worth it, but seeing that cobra crew get rescued and brought back to the main to get another chopper will always stick in my mind, thats was some real teamwork and coordination right there.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

i bought bf2 back in 2005 but my computer was so bad i wouldn't play. when i finaly had enuff mopney to get a new 1 the first thing i did was to install it and play it.

my mate from college told me about this mod so i thought i'd download it and see what it was like. i loved i straight off and the thing that made it for me was crawlingeye. i joined the tg server randomly were crawlingeye had made a learners squad. i quickly joined this as i knew not much about the game. thanks to him i enjoyed it so much i stuck woth it and now i love playing on tg even tho i have the odd run in with the demi-god admin!

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I found TG first, I was looking at BF2 mods in TotalBF2 and i saw PR, so i went to youtube to see some gameplay. Sure enough there was a TG video in PR. So i saw all the team work and Non Asshattery, so i looked up TG. Found the IP for the server and jumped on last march(07). I liked the gameplay and the VOIP usage and that no one screamed into the mic with a highpitch voice. I think about may i put the TG tag on and shortly after joined the Irr.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I started playing with TG about 3? 4? years ago, after i got HL2 and downloaded Dystopia. Found that TG's Dystopia servers were one of the best, then became supporting member about 6 months afterwards and joined ThaFenix's and TG's Dystopia Gaming League team, the +=~/DysFunctionals~!*, where we were soundly beaten in the first competition we had.

After Dystopia's popularity waned, I decided to try TacticalMod .3 with the TG crew, which subsequently lead to many happy games with that small crew, before they decided to put up the PR server instead of continuing on with TacticalMod development. In the past couple months I've decided to man-up and join an IHS, the 6th Marine Division (not the most physical presence on the TG servers, compared to the 6th Devils, but you do what you have to do with as few members as us ) So I suppose it was more or less just a simple gradual linear progression from games with a solid teamplay and tactical base to PR.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

Basically, i got bored of pwning noobs on bf2 and started to look for a game just like it with challenges, than one day i began my epic search on MODDB.com for mods. i reviewed some of the mods and saw that there were many responses to this mod and its realism. I downloaded it last summer and started joining the populated server (TG). I started becoming a regular and wanted to be more intergrated to the server. i started looking for IHS and came upon the 160th SOARs ( since all i did was fly choppers..), however the IHS had just disbanded and realized u had to be a supporting member( Im a cheap man). So Lucky Shot told me that the Irregulars were free and house the best pilots(fact). I joined and never regretted it. This is my story
