Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

I found TG first, then later PR.

About a month or two after getting Battlefield 2 (I signed up for a BF2142 modding class, but since no SDK was released, we modded BF2), I decided to go mod-hunting. I tired several mods and came across POE 2, which captured my attention for a good month or so. After a while, I came across TG's server, and I loved how the server forced players to be in a squad. I always preferred being in a squad to being a lone wolf. I loved the sense of teamwork and tactics.

Then the Sir. Community released a magical tool called Modjive. I downloaded this and used it to download all of the mods that I didn't already have, smallest in size to largest. I didn't think anything would be as good as POE 2, until I decided to download PR .6 (the largest mod available). At first, I didn't really like it. I thought that the game moved rather slowly, that there was too much running around, and I was always, always the first in the squad to die. I still am.

I noticed that TG had a PR server, so I went there. I found that it used the same 90-second join-a-squad-or-die script as POE 2, and a game or twoI found a really nice and helpful squad that explained a lot of things about PR to me (like how rally points really work, commander assets, etc). Since then I stuck with PR.

Re: What brought you to PR and then to TG?

A guy from work told me about PR and was hooked from there. I went to the TG server because it had the lowest ping for me. I believe I was in Dirtboy's squad when he said I should check out the TG site. I was hesitant at first to check it out because I did not want to be apart of a clan. I'm glad I did. Good times, good people, good game!!

The funny thing is that guy from work hates TG and I have never played with him online. I just don't think he gets the whole idea, it just doesn't fit his personality.
