I remember riding in that Convoy as a .50 Gunner. The guys on the PLA side were like.. oh look, a HMMWV, and another one.. and--oh boy.

Re: In Times of Bordem...

In times of boredom...

Playing a squad game of 'I Spy', or sometimes even playing with the other team- trying to work out where they are from their clues.

'Hide 'n' Seek' with the other team.

Seeing who can give the enemy the most outrageous false intel and convince them.

Or just pointing out the enemy's grammar and spelling mistakes

Re: In Times of Bordem...

What do I do when I'm bored...
I could surf the internet on my laptop while glancing over at the game once in a while.
I could work on my quick snap shots and response times on random objects.
I could see how deviation works or still works or if it magically changed in the middle of the game some how by shooting walls in various stances and then running over to see the bullet holes.
I break dance with my knife out.

And if I know it's going to be a long while... I get up and walk around and do other things checking the screen every so often.

Re: In Times of Bordem...

Defense is the best offense, but thats my humble opinion. I enjoy defending flags even if they are ones that the enemy doesn't even go for......that way once a proper defensive perimeter is setup, you can than ask the CO if any SRRP (Short range recon patrols) Need to be carried out, or you can position yourself for a jdam strike and then attack the next enemy flag with force, or set up yourselfs to attack the next enemy flag on the CO's orders.

I remember that, that was classic, and lots of fun, i was happy to be apart of that convoy....it was maximum overdrive, even with AC/DC blaring in the background.

Said like a person who has obviously never played with me. Oh and you actually think I do this when in a hot zone? Come on man. Use some common sense. If I'm back at base waiting for a spawn or something I certainly do not need to be looking at the screen. *shrug* Your loss.

Sorry. I just got done posting a crazy long indepth tech support MD5 Mismatch post in this thread and was a little irritated with stuff. So I was in very low humor when reading that.

We made a fort on kyongan ni once, then we took a squad photo, then we were all blown up by a single grenade..... That was a fun game.

Re: In Times of Bordem...

I start violating cease fire shooting at teammates feet to see their reactions. Sometimes it's rather fun to see them duck in cover and then see that it was me who shot near them and they want to rip me in pieces.

Also good times with taking the shovel out and looking at teammate doing "Yes" and "No" nods with him.
Some squadleader once said "Take the showel off or you'll hurt yourself." I switched to grenades and he said "That's more like it".
