    it works! thanks a lot, i ran the PR from the Bf2 community menu and works fine! but there's another problem, when its loading, it stops in 62% and after that take me out to the login menu with an error that says "There was an error reading from the server" is normal? (the game was optimizing the shaders)

    the thing about error reading from the server happens to me sometimes too, but its rare enough that i dont bother with it (takes 30 sec to load the game again and then i works)

    Glad it worked for you. Now go to your My Documents Folder/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/cache/
    erase whatever giberish folder is in there.

    Attempt to start up PR from the shortcut the game created. See if it works now. If not then you will have to do the BF2 community work around as you did before.

    Now specifically choose a PR server that has a low ping and no one on it. It doesn't matter which one it is. This will let the map load quickest. Once shaders are optimized on that server then go ahead and disconnect from it and connect to the TG server.

    It should work this time.
