Hey all..after a long, ummm, pause, I would like to return. Built a new system and loaded all....resolved a few issues...

BUT..when I get into the multiplayer screen, I see that I have version .755 ! I can not get into TG of course because we are all .756.

I absolutely loaded the correct way, with .756, the bf2 1.41 patch, everything.

Any ideas other than uninstall/reinstall? How about the PR Patch that goes from .708 to .756?

PS, I did post this on the PR Mod forums also...but not getting much reply yet. I want to get on tonight.

control panel should let you uninstall and try again. Check you have enough disk space.

Stevie, it wil tell you that you have .755 even when you installed .756

For some reason the Devs missed that small detail...

My version appears as .755 as well, at the bottom of the screen. I can get into all the servers just fine. Have you tried entering the TG server? Other servers? What error does it give you?

did you install the vbf2 patch 1.41 before or after pr? should be before!!!

This is what I suggest....Depending on OS...make sure you have the rite Direct x engine...xp....Direct x 9c...then Uninstall all.....defrag whole system....Install bf2....bf 1.41 patch....Pr Core file.....pr Levels....then Pr.756....then Defrag again.....then yer good to go!

I would:

1. Uninstall BF2 and PR, and delete the whole BF2 folder;
2. Intall BF2
3. Download and install 1.41 BF2 patch
4. Download and install PR 0.756
5. Download and install PR Map Pack (not sure if they are 2 seppareted files, mines are)

Maybe try re-downloading stuff, corrupted downloads may occur...

What happens is that I get an error for any server, which all appear in red, that I have an older version. I can play if I create a server and I can play vanilla bf2..yuck...and I am going to have to do a reinstall I guess.

This is on my new build:
Vista 64
Asus Maximus Formula x38
Intel E8400 core 2 duo
4 gig OCZ Reaper RAM
EVGA 8800 GTS 512 mb

System has nothing else on it but bf2/PR, Vista, and COD4. Plays COD4 like crazy, but of course bf2 is always an issue. I have tweaked out vista, did all the drops that free up everything, and downloaded sp1. It is not a vista issue but I am going to have to do a reinstall of PR first since that is the older version error.

Anyone think the .708 to .756 patch might do it?

I did do this for the install....

bf2/patch 1.41/pr core/pr levels

Maybe, like I said, corrupted file?

If you can play vanilla, it's not the 1.41 patch. So i'd go ahead and try re-downloading the PR mod, from a different source you have downloaded.

Make sure you have read extensively about vista, it is a known problem maker for BF2.

Other than that, this procedure should work most of the time:

1. Uninstall BF2 and PR, and delete the whole BF2 folder;
2. Intall BF2
3. Download and install 1.41 BF2 patch
4. Download and install PR 0.756 Core
5. Download and install PR 0.756 Map Pack

Ok Fuzz...one thing I see here....

5. Download and install PR Map Pack? I installed .756 core and levels, 2 seperate. I need to download map packs also and install?

Did that, did not work. Effin freak show this is. There are three other guys on the PR forums having the same issue with new installs...I am gonna teabag that effin hamster and make her my biatch!
