Re: TGU Suppressive Fire & Associated Tactics (Project Reality)
EDT
what timezone is that?
and what exactly is the course going to teach us?
I'm interested because my speciality is Auto Rifle and that goes hand and hand with suppressive fire.

Everything (be reasonable here). You name it, it will be gone over.
*EDIT*
And guys, this isn't just for the support gunner. This is for EVERY role on the battlefield...infantry wise.

It's all good. I used to, then I found EDT, CDT, PDT, etc were all more commonly used and understood.

Re: TGU Suppressive Fire & Associated Tactics (Project Reality)
EDT is Eastern Daylight time... which we're in now, Daylight savings started a few months ago.
EST is Eastern Standard time.
Wish I could take the course, times don't jive for me... but I'll be looking forward to catching some of the tactics on the battlefield through the grapevine... hopefully not from the wrong end of the gun barrel

If the roster fills up and/or there are lots of people that can't make it due to it being a weekday, I will host another session in a few weeks.

Re: TGU Suppressive Fire & Associated Tactics (Project Reality)

Some of the SS:
Thanks to the one that finally killed Kevlar who kept messing up the SS .
Thumbs up for Imnotcanadian for organizing this... thumbs down for everyone on the Brit team that doesn't know what 'cease fire' means.

Re: TGU Suppressive Fire & Associated Tactics (Project Reality)
Yeah. Basicly I picked a bad map to learn on, and didn't go over some of the finer details about it being largely inner squad tactics.
Thank you for all of those that attended, I believe enough was learned that your gameplay will improve.
