Re: PR Wont stop crashing

If it is a CTD after you hit 'Join Server' set your in-game screen resolution to 800x600

I was told it crashes if your graphics are high.
When im playing it just goes to the desktop thats all.
If you expect decent help, you 're going to have to give us decent info.
  • What system do you run PR on? Vista, XP, Windows 3.1, ...
  • When exactly does it crash? After mapload, randomly during game, within 1 minute ingame, ...
  • What settings are you playing on? All medium, all high, mixed, what resolution, ...
  • Have you ever been able to play this version or previous versions without crashing?
  • Have you tried the above .EXE?

That should help us identify the problem.

Exclamation PR shortcut problem

Hi.
I have dowloaded all the files, however I opted out of the 'create shortcut' option. Now when I try to run PR I can not find any .exe (or other) file from which to launch PR. Any help would be great...thanks.

Re: PR shortcut problem

Thanks For your reply...don't think BF2 has a MODS tab like the COD games (correct me if wrong). Anyways I did some deeper Googling and found this. It worked so problem solved =).
I can't post a link but if you want to know PM me and ill send you it =)
Thanks again

Re: PR shortcut problem

There isn't a "mods" tab in BF2vanilla, but I think it is under "Community" tab, or something along those lines.

It's there, but the PR exe is the best way to go.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

whatever you do, dont run pr through the community tab on vBf2, you will get kicked due to incorect shaders. If you loose your shortcut then re-install the levels pack to get it back, or create urself a new one

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

hi,
Just the other day this really irritating problem started- my mouse and keyboard dont work when i join the server. Everything is fine until the map actually loads, then they pointer doesnt move and the keys dont do anything, although i can use ctrl alt delete to get out of the game. i switched around the usb ports to check, and i doesnt seem to be a hardware issue. It started after my computer crashed upon loading a map yesterday, and hasnt gone away.
Any help would be very much appreciated as i cant play in the IWS unless it's fixed! My OS is XP, and i run the settings on high at 1024x728 resolution.

What's with the lag?! Help

Ok, I heard that the solution for the lag in Vista is to run it in compatibility mode with XP SP2 and as an administrator, but I'm still lagging. I don't lag in BF2142.

So anyone know what's the problem?

Are you lagging or are you having frame loss?

When you walk around, do you teleport? Or is your screen visually laggy, like a low framerate.

Teleport. I walk around and all of a sudden I'm back to where I was. I also just noticed that it is also happening in Red Orchestra AND BF2142! It has never happened in BF2142 before I got my new PC.

Also, every time I close PR and BF2, I hear the "PANG" noise that Windows make when there's an error message (but I see no error message).
