Re: What's with the lag?! Help

I run PR on vista with no problem but I have a monster of a machine. How about posting your computer specs?

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

I know the Spec are not the problem (as I said, I used to run BF2142 perfectly). But I now know that it is my PC (something in my PC). I'm getting lag in World of Goo too! (which is impossible).

I tried turning off the Vista effects but it is still happening. I'll see what I can do.
Thanks everyone.

EDIT: Ok, I thought I knew what it was, but I don't. It si not FPS lost because I downloaded Fraps and saw that my FPS was above 30 at all times.

What else can it be?

I need help...

So.. after waiting 4+ hours of downloading BF2 and the PR MOD.. I am excited to jump into the servers.

But, I get kicked by PB for: Inadequate O/S Privileges

I'm not sure of what I should do?

Re: I need help...

Welcome to the forums!

I would try running in Administrator mode and see if that works for you.
You can also take a look at the stickies on this forum.
http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr-support/

I would also advise removing about 307,000 pixels from that signature. Limit is 468x100.

Welcome! It's always good to see more Canadians in TG. Even more so when they are from Ontario.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

c7 xp or vista the fix is simple. Right click on your Pr shortcut
then click on comparability Near the bottom will be a box that says run as administrator. tick this box then press apply. Your all set then. You should then be able to play pr without any problems. If this doesnt work or your running on Osx then i'm not sure what the problem is.
Also if your using Vista then disable UAC otherwise you'll have problems with pr and other games in futre

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

Hey guys,

PR works good now, but one more problem arose...

When I play PR for an hour or two... my screen suddenly goes into "SLEEP" mode and I cannot get back to my computer without restarting it. I've tried alt-tabbing out and everything I can think of while in sleep-mode caused by PR.

I'm not sure how to fix or approach this problem...

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

that is strange, usualy your computer recognises when the monitor is being used for things like gaming.

Best thing to do is to go into power saving option in the control pannel. Then check to make sure that your monitor is set to never turn off and that yor computer wont go into "sleep" mode after a few hours
