It happens every 5 or so maps and I can live with it just wanted to see if there's any fix.
Sounds like you 're running short on memory.

Possible solutions:

- lower your video settings
- get more RAM (unless you have 4GB)
- download the cracked BF2.EXE so it can use more than 2GB of RAM

What are your system specs?

Yes, 2GB of RAM is just not enough to run everything on high, it will work for a couple of maps but your system will run out of memory eventually and BF2 will crash after a few maps. Lowering textures is the best way to go, you hardly see any difference between high and medium textures anyways.

Thanks!

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

Weird thing is happening to me...

Outta nowhere (of course), when I load a PR map I go through the loading screen, ok, but then when I click Squad Assignment (Ready to Join) and the game screen shows up, I loose my mouse arrow and my keyboard stops working. All I can do is hit Alt+TAB or Alt-F4.

I think reinstalling may solve it, but I wanted to know if theres a simple fix for that.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

i had that problem when i fist got bf2. i contacted EA and their brilliant response was. Your graphics card is not supported. Even though I'd been playing for a few weeks. After that they wouldn't give me any more responses. So unfortunately i cant help you apart from suggesting you update your graphics drivers if they need updating.

Lag?

I'm not sure about this but I seem to have like a weird lag with a low ping on server, it might be my side since I have it on other servers but it seems like every few minutes, says internet problems and then it'll go back to normal, like a half second hiccup. I got a new pc
XFX 720i motherboard
Intel Quad Core 9400 (i think)
nVidia GTX 250 GFX card
4 gigs of OCX Gold DDR2 ram
Old DLink wireless card, can't remember number but its one of those G cards not the Ns
Any ideas about this? I can run the game by itself just fine so I'm thinking it has somethig to do with my internet, possily the card itself

Re: Lag?

How often/ how long has it been happening? If it is just once it may just be your ISP or just heavy usage in your area. Also I think the server has been having some lag recently, although not heavy.
