That's odd. It doesn't show that there are reserved slots. Once it's unlocked, I'll check if that's what the problem is.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

Hm. That's probably it, though the map doesn't even load before telling me I've been kicked. Thanks.

In that case, why doesn't the server browser show reserved slots on the server? All of the other servers with reserved slots do.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

The TG PR server runs off a custom reserve slot script, not the one which you see most servers using.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

I haven't played in weeks. I just got a new monitor (Compaq W17q) I tried to play old version last night, no joy. It tries to start and then goes to desktop. SO now I download the new version, still having the same exact problem.

I went into my user profile folder and changed video settings from 85hz to 65hz......still having the problem.

Anyone at TG got a solution?

thanks in advance.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread

do you have a ati radeon card with catalyst control center?

cause if you go there on display manager --> display properties --> refresh rate there is 59 Hz by default (dont know why), set it to 60Hz and it should run.

i can make pics if needed.

Sounds like a Punkbuster problem, make sure you don't have any 'illegal' programs running in the background (like Mumble overlay). Can you give us the exact error?

Have you downloaded the levels file too, or just the core??? Cuz this sounds a lot like a problem between your maps and the server's.

I'd say delete your old map folder and download the levels file. However, I'd strongly recommend deleting everything and starting from scratch. BF2 -> 1.41 Patch -> PR .86 CORE -> PR.86 LEVELS...

This should get you up and running no problem.

I'd Google it. Evenbalance has a lot of good troubleshooting tips on their site, and they have a nice program that runs and checks if everything is OK to run PB, and if not, it detects where the problem is and you can solve it easily. Don't remember what the program is called, but it helped me.
