PR Technical Problems Thread - Page 8

URGENT!

So, I turn my computer on and open PR, I try to join TacticalGamer and I CTD, so, I check my graphics settings and they're fine. I try to join again, no joy...

I try to join another server, no joy.

I'm stumped.

Its like a CTD when you have 800x600 resolution, but its not...

Any solutions? I will love you forever and ever and ever

I had to do a complete uninstall, registry and all to fix my problems, oh and a bottle of Vodka.

Fixed it, but I lost my CD key, so I'm boned...

Until tommorow, I'll walk over to EB Games and buy a few copies, along with WiC

Which is why I make scans of all of my instruction manuals, and always keep them nice and tidy in their game case. Never again shall I lose a CD key... pain in the ass.

(Looks over to the ArmA manual sitting on top of a stack of lunch plates, paper towels, Sunday Funnies, and silverware)

Ok, I just installed PR on vista. It starts up fine and everything. But when i click to join a server PR just quits. I don't know what to do. Any advice??? Thx

Make sure your resolution isn't set at 800x600, if so it will crash. If thats not the problem then I don't know what is...

I have been playing on the tactical gamer server since PR 0.5. I was playing on a tactical gamer server yesterday, and new guy joined my squad about halfway through the game. When he spawned he started teamkilling our squad by pushing us off the building we were on and knifing us. He then warned us "You better not kick me from this squad", so we though he was a complete retard and kick him from our squad and locked it. Now this is where he starts hacking, the guy manages to rejoin our squad even though its locked, then he kicks us all from the squad. So we start a new squad and join it, but he follows as well this pisses our squad off so bad that we just decide to kill him, i killed him twice and after the second time, i get a message saying i was banned for excessive teamkilling.

I guess that this must be extremly frustrating for you, However this is not the best place to post this.
Use this http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...contact-admin/ link and psot the same thing there. The admins will then look into it for you.

Use the forum browna provided.

And next time anything like this happens use the !Reporting function.

Type: "!Reporting (Name) <Infraction>"

So if I was doing what he was it would look like

!Reporting |TG-Irr|Sonic intentional teamkilling and immature behavior

and you'll find our admins very quick in dealing with situations with this. Taking it into your own hands will only make it worse, even though it may be ruining your game.

I wonder when EA/DICE will actually release patch 1.5 and if it will stop this squad kicking crap... it can really ruin a good game.

I was booted from the server with the usual 'your connection to the server has been lost' message, which usually signifies a punkbuster problem. Upon trying to rejoin, I had the entirely new message 'This server requires punkbuster to be enabled.'

Tried a pc restart and updated punkbuster, but still getting this new message.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Nerdy, there is the easiest solution to this...

In your multiplayer lobby look to the bottom right.

You should see a Punkbuster logo and a box beside that.

Make sure there is an X in the box...

If that doens't work then I wouldn't know

Yeah Nerdeh. Simple check your filters to enable PB in the server list screen with the filter boxes at the bottom.

hey folks, sorry if this is not in the right spot. if so, could someone kindly move it then. any how on to my issue. over the last few weeks i have had a hell of a time loggin on to your server. seems its that damn packet flow thing. trouble is it seems to be only your server. is there any settings that need to be changed in order to play a round on your server?

any and all help would be great.
