Re: little help if possible
You very well could be running into the supporting member script that runs on the server.
-The server is full at 62/64. Joining with 62/64 players will cause you to be auto-kicked after loading.-
The PR server is popular and is often full. You have to keep trying to login if this is the case. Trying to come in at a map change is a good time to try because people tend to leave more at that point.
Heres a link that tracks the server and the map its on.

Re: PR .8 techincal problems thread
Here's something new that has me headbanging my desk.
Randomly during a game, monitor will go black, the sound will start to quickly repeat itself, monitor will say "No Connection", and it will stay like that. Only happens in PR that I can remember, don't remember this happening in Left 4 Dead or Spore.

Re: PR .8 techincal problems thread

My card is a GeForce 9600GT I've updated the drivers before, stock nVidia ones from their site.

Re: PR .8 techincal problems thread
Nifty, reminds me of the time I bought a card secondhand and found it was reaching 100c
Double checked it and found a fist full of dust around the fan, the only way that happens afaik is if you smoke a fair bit around the computer the dust does tend to really clog the insides.
Also we can conclude bf2 is harder on graphics card then hl2 or most games which I agree with.
Landing the apache on kashan desert kicks up so much dust effect that my fps drops from 100 to 12, its a real hazard to pilots imo as it has the effect of lagging them just as they come within 6 feet of insta killer barbed wire.
I guess I should have told you to run the crysis demo to test it also

I'm not gonna bother trying Crysis on this PC lol.
And on Kashan, landing a helo doesn't slow me down any at all, which is nice, I love the dust effects. Now if I can just end up using the Apache...

Yeah, usually good pilots get them, I have yet to prove myself haha, I usually always get a Merlin on Qinling, which is nice, I love that chopper.
I firmly believe there should be Helo/Jet qualifications one must pass to fly.

Re: PR .8 techincal problems thread
Yep, check if your hard disk light is flashing or not.
BF2 should never use the disk during the actual game, if it does you stand to lag from it. Fly very high at first is best
