Combined Arms
http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f10-...d-mod-wtf.html
Those look like some pretty awesome features. I hope they put the rocket deviation into PR, that would be nice.
I'm not so sure about the radar thing though.

Re: Combined Arms
So its an unofficial addon mod for PR? More extreme absolute realism type perspective, it'll be interesting to see if it works. Sounds a bit like a PR take on AIX, will they include bots with it

Re: Combined Arms
Do those top attack missiles mean we can finally get a Javelin system for the US?
Because it would be god damn awesome if we did.

Tanks and Jets. I had a hard time figuring out how to use the radar.

Re: Combined Arms
lol. Can't believe you saved it. Stupid radar system still CTDs me. There are some pretty sweet things in this mod and they are still trying to improve the gameplay like make missles more effective and stop radar CTDs and things like that.
Haven't had any infantry combat so far but armour and air combat is pretty fun and hard to figure everything out.

Re: Combined Arms
It looks like it might be cool from a pilot/crewman's perspective but i worry about the fun that grunts on the ground will have. Also, as cool as the target tracking tanks are, its starting to look very arcady. War shouldn't be a simple as point in a targets general direction and click. Ill save any detailed criticism or praise till i give it a try from myself.

Re: Combined Arms
Keep in mind that the developer (CAS) was heavily pushing to increase the lethality of aircraft while at the same time lowering the power of anti-air in PR before he left. I'd imagine this mini-mod is heavily favoured in terms of air vs ground.

Re: Combined Arms
The point and click thing is a limitation of the game engine itself and also the its more complicated, if you get too far from your target you lose lock
Oh yeah the GLTD is broken atm uh oh
And you'd be suprised about the Air vs Ground thing, The Air might have the advantage of suprise, but the AAA like Tungusta is deadly as hell, you can lock on with the cannon, or shoot normally so no radar warning goes off, you also have los missles from normal view, and radar so that when the helo pops up, if he doesn't see you immediately he's screwed when you get lock
