Being Commander can be one of the most boring unappreciated roles in PR. Having a good one can bring the game to higher levels of fun and excitement. Having a bad one is
the most frustrating thing in PR. With all that said my adage is, "If you don't like what the commander is telling you to do then go Commander before the bad ones do".
In my books Commander "should" be one of the roles that are taken first not last like it is now. I hate hearing people tell others that are late joining, that if they can not find a squad to join then go Commander.
Things I like to see when I'm commander.
1. Lots of Intel with details. That includes spotting enemy and
telling me when enemy are taken out
2. SLs telling me where they are going and why
3. Your opinion. You have a better idea then the commander in most circumstances.
4. If you do not like my orders
tell me and why. I'll rethink my orders. If you ignore orders get ready to be reported. (Yes, I have reported DEVs before because I don't care who you are)
Remember having a Commander is like being married, communication goes along way. If you do something I don't like and we did not talk about it before hand, then get ready to sleep on the couch.
I'll be commanding much more from now on. I'll give everyone else a chance to grab it before I do, in case you think I'm a bad commander
