I bet that average has been dragged down quite a bit by a few especially short ones?

Map should end when the enemy tickets reach zero. Never before.

Yeah, most of the times seemed to be in the 60 to 90 minutes range.
I guess I should have worded the poll question more carefully, because I'm not trying to suggest that PR rounds should have artificial time limits on them. Obviously, the round is over when the tickets run out. What I'm wondering is how long people like rounds to last and how long they normally play before they get bored.

Its a valid poll... [DEV]'s can effectivly adjust the legnth of time rounds last not by placing a timer but by adjusting the amount of tickets each map has..

Re: How long should a round of PR last?
Interesting poll CC. It's pretty clear that 1h30 is about the ideal round length, with up to two hours being acceptable.
I think it's pretty safe to say hat almost no one enjoys the 4 hour rounds (with of course the odd exception of a really good long game perhaps).
IMO, no PR map really supports 4 hours of dynamic gameplay. A 4 hour Kashan e.g. is just a matter of rinse and repeat, effectively killing most immersion in the game.

Re: How long should a round of PR last?
somewhere in the area of 1.5 and 2+ hours, there should be some good intense firefights/battles, and if allowed some uses of the area attack, though each map is different, it would be awesome to see some real intense 2 hour infantry battles, but that might just be me.

A hour or so. 2 hours would be awesome (if you have a commander, of course. Two hours of running around is annoying).

It sure would be realistic, everyone would be exhausted like actual soldiers who fight for hours on end!
Yeah that might be something to see, but I'd only play a 2 hour infantry battles (whether you mean 1 huge intense front line battle or several smaller battles scattered across the front line) if they were really intense only. No point playing a 2 hour game if you run around and receive some sporadic fire only!

If I want to have an extremely immersive, time-consuming experience I play arma. If I want to have a tactical, sortoftimeconsumingbutnotasmuchasarma experience I play PR.

And 1 hour, as the game gets too repititive for me.

Re: How long should a round of PR last?
I do, I played it quite a bit last year (along with the rest of the 6th) but the new version screwed up my game and I haven't had the time to fix and reinstall everything.

Re: How long should a round of PR last?
Nothing over 2 hours. In fact... I think there is a server out there with 90 minutes as the timer instead of the usual 4 hours. After 2 hours and you start to hear people begging for a side to win or providing excuses (real and fake) as to why they have to leave before the round ends.
