(If they only join to grab a sniper, by all means, kick them out, but any confirmation they're paying attention is enough in my book to keep them)

This goes double for infantry squads, less so for asset squads.

Re: There is no "I" in Team

Some SLs specifically want or need people to use voip, which is perfectly fine.

Sometimes I play late at night when my family is asleep and I can't talk, so just don't join a squad named "VOIP ONLY" or "INF VOIP", etc. and any squad you do join, just text that you can't talk. Or make a squad called "NOVOIP" so others know what to expect.

When playing Insurgency dont pick up the AA kit, then decide you want the sniper kit and let the AA kit despawn leaving your team defenseless against air threats.

Grab the medic kit and revive the medic when he dies...

You don't need to speak into the microphone to make Mumble useful, you still got ears.
But i agree, you can be quite able player without speak.

I'll throw one in on the subject:
- When squadleading, please please be more weary of green text. I hate typing matters of importance for deaf ears.

And a shocking fun fact on the subject i recently found out: Chat when dead don't show up for anyone else.

watch the door to the cache building at all times
once you have one enemy body right in the door way
you know that you have just done a really big favour to your team

When you spawn in.. dont make a mad dash from the rally or FOB to the action.. the enemy loves surprises.. and they are patient.. Take the long way around and come from a diffrent direction now and then.

If you spawn on the rally, HOLD and wait for orders from your squad leader.

Ooooh, oooh. I got a good one!

Join Bullseye's squad.

You are now a major credit to the team.

Dont be a squad medic. Be a team medic.

Re: There is no "I" in Team

When I medic, I will always help other squads when possible, BUT you need to ask the SL of your own squad first. The SL may not notice downed players and running off to help them without first letting your SL know is usually a no win situation for the medic. The medic needs to have cover when doing his job.

Yea I hate that medics walk over people asking for revive but revivable bodies are not distinct from the dead ones.
Maybe there could be one soundfile used only by players recently critically wounded, its also on the comm rose for still walking players at present

Add in the trouble it takes to revive some players and its easy to see why people dont bother.
Saving one ticket is just as good to the team as looking for another kill, just doesnt feel that way in game unfortunately

Tip I will add is use the log truck with the APC and it can be repaired after a hit.
If the log truck parks in front of the apc, throws smoke it can protect the tracked vehicle from HAT till its able to withdraw

Also dropping crates around the map where squads without vehicles can use them can have a major influence on the course of the battle

The problem isnt so much being able to distinguish as it is the medics who will walk over someone who is spamming medic calls. It's pretty much insane.

My tip/rant: If you're doing something asinine, such as making a FB up in some far off corner of the map because you're an asset-less asset squad and have nothing better to do, and your team is down to their last flag, GET OFF YOUR ASS AND HELP YOUR TEAM.

Re: There is no "I" in Team

-Fire when the SL said not to fire.
-Join a squad and automatically grab the sniper kit.
-Drive YOURSELF to your squad using the ONLY troop trans truck at main when there are no firebases on the map and 2 squads just got wiped and dont go back to pick them up when you see tons of inf standing around at main. (muttrah)
-Thinking that APCs are not made to transport infantry around the map and help support them. (happened tonight)
-Flying; when you can't.
-Grabbing any requestable kit without asking the SL.
-Attack 3 flags ahead of the AAS and stay there the whole game doing nothing but proclaim that you are helping the team win.
-Run a 6 man squad with no medic and be sure to charge into the enemy the whole game.
-Be the medic for your squad and dont revive friendlies wounded around you.
-Dont drop ammo for someone who needs some.
-Get the sniper rifle and dont provide any itel to the rest of the team, then just try to kill people the whole game and be sure not to get more than 10 kills and half way through the map die to someone and lose the kit.
-Act like a baroftard and question everything the SL says, no matter what he says.
-Be sure not to go out of your way to drop a repair station for a tracked tank/apc when you're only 100m away with a logistic truck.
-Be sure to die in an APC and then spawn at main, grab another and go back to the same spot you died; Repeat.
-Be sure not to call out enemy armour positions for other players on the team.

Alot of guys dont have proper stereo sound or really crap speakers, its easier to locate with headphones I find.

I see the same thing beeping for someone to get in a truck who has asked for a lift, they chase after the apc in front of them instead of realising a truck is right behind them and thats someone in my squad.

Its 50/50 I'd say, half wouldnt heal you no matter what and the other half are just confused where or which body needs revive.
Its negative feedback I think which eventually causes a habit of ignoring the medic call altogether even when they're right by you

I know it was a bug but when the translucent dead bodies were in game, there was alot more revives happening because it was obvious
