Make an Insurgent Taxi/Ambulance squad.

Roll around with a car playing music, driving people everywhere, heal people that call for a medic, wave your arms out the window like you just don't care.

People will love you for it. I actually had Blufor camp the last car because of how awesome my taxiing skills are.

If your SL is dead, and so are you, hold spawn until he spawns, then double check on kit request before spawning in.

Re: There is no "I" in Team

Look at the map when driving as an insurgent on insurgency maps. If you have another person in the vehicle, even better that way they can zoom in on the map and if you see a mine marker on the left side of the road, drive on the right side, your chances of not hitting a mine just went up 95%.

When the area is riddled with mine markers, don't drive motorbikes, they have a keen sense of finding the mine and detonating them.

If you see a mine next to a vehicle, don't get in it and try to pull away, its there for a reason, whether as part of a roadblock or to have the enemy look at it and hesitate.

If your team is down to their last flag make sure the firebase you built way off in the corner of the map has AA, because you might not be helping the team defend the flag but if the other side has helicopters you have a good chance of shooting a few of them down.

Sort of right.

Actually right.

Just because you have mumble doesn't mean you can do as you damn please. The best teams function because their individual squads function correctly, the best squads function correctly because each squad member knows his job and they are all following orders! Their is a chain of command for a reason, it's not COD4.

When being an insurgent sapper... Please, for the love of everything that is good and righteous, leave one route open for friendly vehicles!

Mining every possible route is a good way to cut yourself off from your own reinforcements. You also make the Insurgent Taxi angry.

-If waiting for an asset, grab a friend with a shovel and start building FOBs for your team if there aren't enough.

-When in an APC or Tank, support your infantry squads instead of ignoring them altogether. Going tank hunting is not supporting them.

-Go commander.
Do them all the time and love it...

- As a SL don't go on point and make sure you use your squad... they are far more effective than your rifle...

When your SL gives you an attack marker/order and tells you to suppress that target, do so. Don't sit there with the rest of the squad all waiting for the headshot opportunity and then complain when you get shot. Get some lead downrange asap.

Re: There is no "I" in Team

When a convoy gets going as Bluefor volunteer to SL the flank protection/logi squad. Your squad would basically be operating a few .50 jeeps and a repair truck as the APCs' escorts. You will not see as much action or get as many frags as the APC gunners or the Infantry squads, but it can be just as rewarding to stop a few bombcars or sappers who thought they could ninja your team's armor.
Your APC's can completely focus on supporting the infantry and not have to worry about mines getting planted under them.

Your squad will also get to be the first ones to check/cross bridges for IED's and get blown up. Taking one for the team heheh.

But there is an "I" in Mix!

Doing that kinda squad isn't so bad. I like to run mine as roaming, flank-protection, death squads, sometimes rushing ahead to clear an area of ambushers or IEDs/Mines. Run it like EOD with a combat engineer and remove mines for your armor to move through.

Heheh i might just try that with a 3 man humvee squad.

I'll be SFC James with a combat engineer kit in a bomb suit, and I'll force my other 2 squad members to take on the names of Sanborn and Eldridge.

I can imagine it now. As I am working on a IED, Eldridge sees an unknown holding a cell phone outside a shop...

But wrenches can't disable arty IED's

I can always start a "GRASS INC." squad. Iraq needs grass.
