Re: The Good Ol' Days.
I miss the littlebirds full of SF flying along just above the water by the docks on the old Muttrah doing water insertions. Was one of my favourite tricks.

Re: The Good Ol' Days.
I miss people shouting at you for using APC's as transport. 'We need those near the front lines so we can spawn, idiot!' they used to shout.

Oh the days of APCS hidden in ditches, rallies glitched into walls and Sl spawning. Maybe I will load up some BF2 this weekend and get this pang of nostalgia out.

You can still do that as an insurgent sapper I was able to sneak under the Al Basrah tank two nights ago but the mine slid while I wasn't watching and I only made him angry with the IED.

I snuck up on an LAV a week or so ago on Fullajah and put an Artillery IED on it, I didn't even track it when I detonated it. I killed myself though... Was a sad day for being an insurgent

Jesus, how did that work out for the insurgents back then?

Nah, the IEDs are improvised, not vehicle killing sticky bombs. What you do is sneak under the vehicle, place your mine ('artillery IED') and then stick the remote IED to the vehicle. Either stay and die or move and blow the remote IED which will move the vehicle enough to set off the mine.
That's how I used to do the c4/mine rushes and it still works. If you want to remote detonate a LAV you need 3 or more. An intersection with 10 works wonders even if your reflexes are slow

I miss Mao Valley, the foliage was dense and the map itself was so cool.

Re: The Good Ol' Days.
chinese with Type 56's (AKs). I dont care how much more realistic the new sounds are; the .5 AK47 sound was badass and scary imo.

Doesn't matter, I killed him in two hits when I got a hold of an RPG

Re: The Good Ol' Days.
Unfortunately, I can barely remember playing so long ago. I know I did, you can even find my first post in the Welcome to TG thread. But I think I only really played PR for like, 3 weeks, before my computer broke and I stopped for like a year.

Re: The Good Ol' Days.
I remember going CO and giving BiGaayAl Attack orders on places that I wanted to Arty. This is when the Commander could zoom in on a map and see real time action.
