Re: Quick Mumble Poll
-Sandiford
-Yes
-Does everything TS does, with high quality and lower latency
-Positional audio reduces spam when talking to nearby SLs
-Allows seamless cooperation between multiple squads, breaking the limitations of bf2 voip and squad limits
-Medic is walking over your wounded body, finally you can get him to revive you
+ all the other times you need to talk to a blue guy next to you
-Allows non-regulars to coordinate fully, TS is less accessible
-A busy mumble channel is a public advert for TG and brings in high quality new players
-Mumble seems to be unofficially replacing TS for team coordination, if you don't see many people in TS, they're probably using mumble instead

-I was intending on waiting until the next PR patch when hopefully mumble would be integrated, but then I figured I'd just go ahead and setup it up manually anyway. I just haven't got around to doing that yet, though.CoD4: Balfa

Yes
it complements and facilitates the use of comms for intersquad comm. I find more often than not, someone is either on TS or they are on Mumble. Not a lot of people are on both yet. I use both. I have found Mumble to be most effective when coordinating with other squads and vehicles regarding transportation.
I haven't figured out how the SL channels work yet. Please let me know if this is correct. The SL channels can talk to everyone no matter the distance, but the regular channels is a distance local channel??????? is that correct?
I like Mumble and just need more time with it. I definitely don't like the mindless chatter that goes on in TS during rounds.

No
I used it a while ago, but having 3 different comms is not functioning for me.
If TG switches from TS to Mumble i will switch too though.

- Yes
- I use mumble because it makes it easier to communicate with other squads without using teamspeak.

Yes all the time
Does everything TS does and also allows you to communicate only with close by blue guys not in your squad, cutting down TS chatter significantly. Regardless of whether walking up to a tank and talking to it normally is realistic or not (the Abrams has a phone towards the rear for friendly Infantry to contact the commander, correct?), It allows for greater teamwork in the form of the blue infantry/APC mobber blobber like on that great round of Fallujah yesterday where 9/10 caches were destroyed with a majority of the USMC SL's and a lot of their squadmembers on mumble. "RPG, 345 left archway tower" can now be heard not just by your squaddies but also by other blue guys and APC crewmen within 70m. If they are not within 70m, just simply use mumble Squad Leader channel or all-talk which works like TS.
BTW over 100 tickets were still left with 9/10 caches destroyed before everyone got booted during the aforementioned Fallujah round.

Yes
It facilitates intersquad communications without flooding TS or other chat methods. It makes the game more enjoyable.

- No
- It is yet another program that I have to run and maintain in the background. If I end up switching teams, I have to switch channels otherwise people get upset. If I am a squad leader, I have to go to that channel. When I join the game, I have to alt+tab to go to the right channel for the appropriate team. There are rarely enough people on to make it worthwhile. Plus, I don't like how Mumble relates distance to volume. Someone 10 meters away sounds just as loud as someone 30 meters away, yet the distance between 60 meters and 65 meters is vast.

Yes
Because it is the future of team communication; All of the "there's too much chatter" complaints are due to the fact that mumble does what TS does AND more. Which I still don't understand, because most people only use directional in mumble. Not to mention that only relative information is generally broadcast over TS. And it's already easier to have pubbies join our channel to communicate with us, but because of the community's separation we are forced to deal with 'too much communication'.

-Yes, sometimes
-Use TS more often than Mumble, but I've come to like the squad to squad coms that come with Mumble. Some funny moments come out of it as well as some great tactical game play.
For example when Cougar had that epic kill streak on Fools Road, me and my squad moved into the hill top mansion and all we could hear was hysterical laughter. Very strange until we figured out what had happened

Yes i use it
Only on occasion, i prefer the teamspeak interface and find it difficult to run them both at the same time, i would switch to mumble if we got a server and everyone used it.

- Low adaption rate; was a pain to install; I doubt that chat is as "on topic" as TS.

No
It didn't work on my old PC and I haven't bothered downloading it on my new one. Teamspeak works fine for now, and I will continue to use TS until mumble becomes officially supported here at TG.
