I think the reason I like the Hydra Huey is because I can control what I'm doing. With a Havok or Apache, if you're flying, most of the time you're letting the gunner do most of the work. In a Hydra Huey you have to do both, and it's more challenging and more fun that way IMHO.

Strike at Karkand
Fav map is a toss up between Kashan 64, Qinling 32 and Fools Road.
Kashan for it's assets
Qinling because of the strategic importance of manouvering and tactics, if the enemy is built up on most of them flags it's real hard to bring them down.
Fools Road because you can evade the enemy with your movements due to the heavy trees. If you don't want to be seen, even with a tank you can hide. It's beautiful

My sphincter tightens everytime I hear the planes fly overhead as Insurgent, even though I know there's no airpower on the map.

Re: What is your favorite map in the rotation and WHY?
If I'm ever playing Kashan, I prefer the MEC side.
In fact, I'm so used to playing on the MEC side, I once teamkilled two Bradleys in the same round (a long time ago) when I was in an Abrams.
We lost the round by 20 or so tickets
(EDIT: To my defense, one was looking at me with TOWs. I went all panic-y.)

Re: What is your favorite map in the rotation and WHY?
My last post I don't think read the topic.
I like Muttrah for Urban combat.
I've suddenly found a new like for Bi ming. Especially after performing some river ambushes on unsuspecting Chinese.

Re: What is your favorite map in the rotation and WHY?
I'd have to say Muttrah because it's one of the last maps with any plausible claim to Asymmetrical Balance. US have their helo's and the two LAVs, the MEC can easily control most of the land and have an easier time setting up ambushes and whatnot, plus the 2v1 odds in APC combat.
Either side CAN win, depends on who's using the strengths given to them.
(I miss Qwai)

Re: What is your favorite map in the rotation and WHY?
I'd have to say.......
Basrah.
Its old, but the tactical variations throughout the map are fantastic.
its a map that rewards a patient insurgent and a british team that covers eachother.

Re: What is your favorite map in the rotation and WHY?
Kozelsk,definately.
I really like that it´s wood which happens to be one of my favorite enviroments, also I´m always stunned how good the map is made with all the cover the nature gives you, while it doesnt look stupid or unnatural
