I love it!

The power, it's more powerful than any of the other rifles I find. Granted it takes a bit of used to for the scope and it seems to have a much quicker bullet drop. But once you've mastered the scope it's epic. Great in all situations, the G3 can be used from 50 meters above. Close quarters can be a bit of a hassel to get used to and the MP5 is better :P

In all, love the G3 and it will love you back

Irons are easy to use

2 hit total to drop a target

Full auto at very close rage works great (irons only)

Low ammo count

slow rate of controlable fire in simi auto

I like its stopping power, full auto point blank, and its the only iron sights gun I can actually use effectively at short and medium range.

I dislike its low ammo capacity, hard recoil stopping continuos suppresive fire,uncontrollabe full auto useless farther than 20 m.

The kick sucks.

What notable experiences have you had in the past with the G3, good or bad?
I "sniped" a guy at 500m w/ the G3 scoped.

Try using a MEC Crewman MP5 in Asad Khal... Much easier then using the damn G3!

Do Want

* Stopping power
* Easiest iron sights to use

DO NOT WANT

* Awful recoil
* Worthless at CQB, don't even bother with automatic fire (see above).
* There is absolutely no difference between this gun and the DMR version besides
the fancy scope.

Experiences:
* Once I fired a whole clip at a person within 15 m to find him unscathed.
* It's not rare to find MEC crewmen running around.

Iron sight is awesome in -50 range. Scope sight is awesome 300+ (except the obvious recoil)

I believe g3 lacks medium range, you can kill a guy really close with iron sights, and you can kill him 300+ meters away with a scope. Anything in between is certainly deadly for you, not the enemy.

The G3 with Scope is my favorite weapon in the game, bar none. It's also one of the only SL kits I use exclusively with the scope.

Likes:
- Stopping power
- Shoots through some buildings
- The recoil is manageable, even with a scope. Just aim for their feet and after a few shots they're littered with bullets
- Seems to be less tempermental than the M16 scope IMO.

Noticeable Experiences:
Well if you're in my squad you know I love to ask if you've killed an MEC officer

. Especially defending the Kashan Bunkers, it's deadly in there...

-small magazine
-lots of people dolphin dive with the g3 and ride the recoil all the way up which annoys me

I dont really like it overall. if i have to i will use it but imo there are guns that are a lot better than the G3. (or maybe i just suck with it

)

- 3 full squads open fire with g3 on target in the open between gardens and north village = nice sound
