Re: Rule change required?

What if an invisible 'Missile Shield' style thing was placed around the mosque, similar to how it is for the Carrier on most maps now? This would prevent people from firing into, or out of, the mosque.

People would start camping the entrances/exits to the mosque instead (or wherever the protective shield ends). I don't think the same principle works because the aircraft carriers are isolated and mosques appear in PR in the middle of frequent combat areas.

Well, 'camping the mosque' would be impossible with the missile shield.

'Camping outside the mosque'.. can be applied to, well, camping anywhere on the map. The boundary has to start somewhere.

Re: Rule change required?

Missile Shield sounds silly to me. People would probably just exploit it, like they do with the rule anyway. I can just imagine APCs just hitting the missile shield with HEAT rounds, waiting for someone to walk through it, or I could see Insurgents sticking a piece of their body out of the missile shield to fire an RPG or something and quickly run back into the mosque and repeat the process.

Re: Rule change required?

We have allot of nice lawyering and reasoning going on here but I think you guys all know the intent of the rules and how they are suppose to work. You can find cracks and and holes in any rules and if they cover everything in detail the will be to long for anybody to follow properly.

The rules intent is to increase fair play and your enjoyment of the game, they are not made so you can find new and creative ways of abusing them.

The rules here are kept simple so anyone can know them by heart and TG is trusting your to sort out the rest with "fair play" and "common sense"

Here are few guidelines I suggest you follow:
1. if you shoot at something and it shoots back = "don't complain"
2. you someone doing something wrong, you tell him to stop and he does = "let it go"
3. if you break a rule or are unsure if you broke a rule = "apologize and move on"
4. keep in mind there is big difference between deliberately breaking the rules and doing it by accident or ignorans = "one your report the other you educate"
