Hi There! Wanted to say the PR server is a lot of fun! I was wondering if any of you that have a few more hours in PR than I could help out by offering some tips on how to best combat armor in this mod.
The Quartermaster was asleep at the switch, so the best I could do was spawn as the AT Rifleman, but I found the new RPG weapon challenging to say the least. Have the 'sweet spots' on the armor changed at all? Are we still aiming for the rear of the tracks? Is the RPG a dumb fire, or is it guidable? Does the rocket drop over distance, like POE? (I didn't have time to notice, too busy getting killed and dodging incoming heat) Did anyone else notice that the RPG reload seems to take forever? I found that even with a rifleman following me around I was unable to get shots off fast enough to support my squad. Thanks for any hints, and looking forward to teaming back up with you all in PR soon! (Also - extra thanks for all the TG SLs out there, you guys keep me coming back.) -btrapp |

Re: Suggestions for Anti Armor?
greetings,
the Heavy AT kit (limited) will be allowable once the next patch gets the Q.M. off his butt. lol. (note in really small games the QM goes to work. ) From what I understand it can be quite deadly. Giving out ammo is a full time job it seems. A lot of others have brought this up.

Quote:
As for the resupply, yes it does take a bit of time, something along the lines of about 30 seconds of sitting on an ammo pack. (I roughly equated it to the length taken to respawn) However its within reason, considering that it's assumably taking the place of the time it takes to reload the unit, since the fact that when you do reload the shot, it's already primed and ready to go. As for the tanks "sweet spots", essentially its: Back of tank (1st choice), Side of tank (2nd choice), Front of tank (3rd choice), in that order. You can't go wrong if you follow those guidelines. Hope that helps. |
