I wonder whether having password nights is actually causing a general decrease in numbers of ppl playing on the TG server. Often I see the DVB or Thor's servers full up when the far superior TG server has <20 ppl on it.

I understand that the idea of password nights is to get more team-play etc by excluding non-TG forumers, but I've seen recent password nights get very vanilla because there just aren't enough ppl playing to form enough squads (especially on big maps Kasrah etc). Since the last password change the password nights seem to be getting less ppl, fulling up the other non-TG servers, and even when it is not passworded there seem to be less people in general.

Is it better to have a full server with good admin (as it is already), or a half-full server with TG-forumers?

I'm just wondering what others think about keeping password nights? I'll shutup if the consensus favours keeping them going.

No one really made any comment about this, so I'll bring it up again.

The map before the password-night started was 62/64 players and a good game. However, after the server was set to a password, it goes downs to 10-20/64... Although, I enjoy less 'pubby' play... I prefer having enough players actually ON the server to have a decent match. Often when there are <30/64 there is actually less team-work because the maps are too big for that many ppl.

Either smaller maps or less password nights?... Sunday only?

I personally think that the teamplay is better on password night than on regular night. Sure there are some password nights where the teamplay isn't very good, but generally it's better than on non-pw nights. Last password night was full for quite a few maps, 62/64 most of the night. Today the game, coupled with the server having problems and being down 15 minutes while trying to switch is why the pop's low, but it'll kick up.

Up here in New England the Red Sox are a religion to many baseball fans (with the Yankees being the devil )

Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!

I think if the server was passworded all day, the drop wouldn't be so dramatic as the people on it would not be kicked off in the middle of play. If the server password set was started at noon or 1 pm, people on it would probably only be TG people by mid-afternoon. More dramatic here in Europe, because evening gamers get on after dinner (6pm in Europe/12pm in the USA) and I hate it when the reset is in the middle of my gaming session,,,

Re: Project Reality Password Nights Are Here!

Just put street on after the server is cleared and it should help jumpstart it for every map that follows.

Maps dont scale properly and the balance is altered so below 50 it starts playing different, the kits scale but vehicles dont
