No, Ive been a civilian for a bit now. The 10th is commonly known as a "stepping stone" to the Rangers due to the operations of the unit (Rapid Mobility, air borne, ext). So after my time in country I went for Ranger, 2nd jump, knee went sideways on landing and sadly that was pretty much end of the story. =(

As for experience? Anyone heard of a little piece of Heaven called Shahi-Kot?

We employ real life small unit tactics and operate using small fire teams. Just recently we've started to explore operating two squads simultaneously via teamspeak...12 members bringing lots of organized force to bear is quite a site.

Anyhow...welcome to TG and don't hesitate to ask for a spot in one of the 1st squads or one of my own.
Just re read my post...then Cor's ...realized it read like the 1st was MY squad...Should've been more careful in my syntax there...thanks for clarifying Coridon.

Re: Squad Tactic Clinic

from Wikpedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahi_Kot_Valley

to paraphrase

"....It [Shahi Kot] was also the scene of the largest battle of the U.S.-Afghan War...the Battle of Shah-i-Kot took place during Operation Anaconda, which began on March 2nd 2002"

I understand the 10th Mountain acted as a blocking force in this operation. Thanks for your service. My brother served at Bagram for about 4 months as a remf fixing radios for the Navy Seals. He always said he could tell me what the Navy was doing in landlocked Afghanistan but he'd have to kill me afterwards.

Re: Squad Tactic Clinic

When you get it up, it may be better for the time being to run it with the irregs, although we would be fine with giving you advice on how to run it or things to add.

I've been afk the last week due to work...although I was successfully extracted last night, and am finally able to break radio silence

Blitzer and I are in contact on this and hope to post a sched soon. Depending on anticipated turn-out I may be looking to recruit a couple DIs to assist as well.

More to follow...

Cheers,

I'm more than happy to help provide a better public experience by getting people to work better as a team.

Re: Squad Tactic Clinic

To all interested parties...we are getting very close! I don't want to throw Blitzer under the bus on this, so I'm trying to make sure we can be somewhat organized etc.!

Cheers,
