No, Ive been a civilian for a bit now. The 10th is commonly known as a "stepping stone" to the Rangers due to the operations of the unit (Rapid Mobility, air borne, ext). So after my time in country I went for Ranger, 2nd jump, knee went sideways on landing and sadly that was pretty much end of the story. =( As for experience? Anyone heard of a little piece of Heaven called Shahi-Kot? |

Re: Squad Tactic Clinic
from Wikpedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahi_Kot_Valley to paraphrase "....It [Shahi Kot] was also the scene of the largest battle of the U.S.-Afghan War...the Battle of Shah-i-Kot took place during Operation Anaconda, which began on March 2nd 2002" I understand the 10th Mountain acted as a blocking force in this operation. Thanks for your service. My brother served at Bagram for about 4 months as a remf fixing radios for the Navy Seals. He always said he could tell me what the Navy was doing in landlocked Afghanistan but he'd have to kill me afterwards.

Re: Squad Tactic Clinic
To all interested parties...we are getting very close! I don't want to throw Blitzer under the bus on this, so I'm trying to make sure we can be somewhat organized etc.!
Cheers, |
