I've held but never fired a firearm. We just got a pistol, though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get qualified on it sometime soon.

Re: M95 Uses on Al Basrah

I use 100 grains of powder for my .50, I seen a guy foolishly put in 160 grains in a .50 before and shot a deer about 350 yards away. His neighbor then took three 2-3/4" shotgun magnum shells apart and then put the powder from all of them into one shell. I was not there to see him shoot it but seen the shotgun afterwards. Only thing not broke was the trigger, the guy had the barrel split back and cut his left arm almost off, his right eye was cut from a piece of wood that came off the stock, he had other injuries but can't remember them all. I can't ask him either cause his brother shot him 2 years later, then that brother was shot by his brother. Was 11 brothers now I think there is only 3 living and in different states, lol.

haha, i asked my friend what the craziest thing ever happened to him was. he said "i got shot." i guess he was hunting and he took some buckshot from a ways out from his buddy, and rarely tells the story because he figures that nobody would believe it. he was saying he called his girl to cancel a date and told her he was in the hospital for a bullet wound, and she got pissed and hung up. they're married now, but "naw honey i won't make it, i've been shot," is a lame ass excuse. "no seriously, shot, call you later," hahaha

So a ranger sniper team was dispatched with a m95 in an attempt to stop the vehicles from reaching the wire. Well the Ranger disabled an incoming pick up and the combatants exited the vehicle and the sniper took aim and fired. The end result, well according to the rumor, a single shot stopped the entire assault when the combatants saw the body fly back 30 yards. Again, the story is only a rumor, but the ROE is 100% true. The m95 is a light armor weapon exclusively, however, in games its all fair.
It's not against Militar ROE to use the M95 or any other 50 Cal weapon on "Soft Targets". This was a myth created back during the Korean War. It goes that a Commander decided to tell his troops that it was against the Genevia code to use the 50 Cal of soft targets, even though the Genevia Code was still being made and wasnt even in affect yet. The reason he told his troops this is because whenever his troops would use the 50 Cal Machine gun, it would attract all of the enemy's fire, usually ending up in them being kill by using such a powerfull gun. So that's it.

Yeah, that is what I was told also. They CAN use the M95 on "soft" targets but not recommended due to the sound and the fact that is a waste of ammo of that sort for a target that does not require it. Like taking a bazooka turkey hunting.

What the hell else would you use to hunt turkeys? Rubber bands?

Re: M95 Uses on Al Basrah

i think i might have used the barrett on 2 flesh targets the entire time i've played TG Al Basrah. other servers its all game but here i tend to follow rules of engagement and don't fire on flesh targets with it. instead i target cars and light skinned vehicles. the two times i did target a flesh target were to remove a sniper from a damaging position and to remove a rpg man from a house near our north vcp. the barrett works wonders on caches, vehicles, aa.. anything you can destroy.. hell i even took 3 guys with 1 shot at an explosive barrel.

Haven't you ever played a video game before? In Battlefield 1942, it just killed the person nearby. It would work the same way in real life with turkeys.

Re: M95 Uses on Al Basrah

Ednos, I never seen wild turkeys standing in a group. Just seen them flying that way and that is when I usually pull the ole Mossberg 835 out and start having a little fun. Still a boozoka on turkeys in a group flying, that would be a miracle to hit one, let alone for it to explode and kill any other.
