It sure does seem to be a massive disparity in the "kill yer own" ability over the killin the other guy ability (at least it seems). I get bumped into by a teamate at the starting ralley point and sustain enough injury to make my guy go OUCH and have the hitmark light up.

And then theres the 3/4's of a clip I pump into the bad guy when, suddenly, a friendly gets in the way of one bullet and he clumps to the ground

Yeah, I have made some truely amazing long range 1 hit kills on friendlys.
